that's a little messed up. Wasn't smallvill that killed the same character to reveal a young cousin with the same name?Napoleon Solo wrote:I saw Batman v Superman last night. While I didn't think it was as bad as many of the reviews (which, after awhile, seemed like giving the movie the baby seal treatment), there was one thing I totally missed concerning a character death. The long URL gives it away, so here's a shortened URL>

JAMES BOND chiefs are making fans wait two years for the next movie, in a bid to convince DANIEL CRAIG to return.
The break is designed to give Daniel time to wrap up a 20-episode US TV series, Purity, and take on a stint in Othello on Broadway – with the hope he’ll then be persuaded to play 007 for a fifth time.
But Bond producer BARBARA BROCCOLI will be keeping busy, too.

Waiting two years until the next film! How is that any different than what EON has been doing since 1974?! In fact that's one of the shortest breaks since 2002!
They really want to bring Craig back after his "Slash my wrists" interview? The wrist slashing is what the media has clinged to, however the far more telling bit is when he continued: "If I came back it would only be for the money". The bit about slashing his wrist can be written off as some tongue in cheek hyperbole, made just after exhausting himself making the film but to go on and say his only motivation to return would be only for money goes much deeper. It may have been a Freudian slip, he didn't mean to say out loud to a reporter to have broadcast across the globe. but he did mean it.
Babzy will be keeping busy! How? Doing her nails! The name of her new production company is laughable, "Bad and Beautiful" stroke your ego much Babzy? Maybe, just maybe she'll devote some time to a few crap "passion projects" and leave Bond to the professionals for awhile.
Funny how EON is so concerned about "the safe choice" now, Brosnan was the "safe" box office choice, but was cast aside for a man who was anything but!
This one's special because it's the 25th? Shouldn't they all be special, it's all you do! On second though, we've seen what we get when you believe "this one's special" (DAD, SF, SP)

Forget about the proper Bond. Leave the franchise for lowlives as Bond. FREAKS AND WEIRDOS. Remember those types?bjmdds wrote:Broccoli's obsession with Cr-egg has destroyed the essence and the magic of the franchise. It will be 20 years between Brosnan and a potentially proper Bond at this rate, in 2022DONE

"Insiders" may consider the next movie a special event. Fans refer to the movie as Bond 25 simply because it has been titled yet. But does anyone think being the 25th movie automatically gives the film a special status. It's like they keep hoping the 50th anniversary publicity will generate itself all over again.Capt. I really hope Craig leaves this time. It's bad enough he made just as much movies as Brosnan and two more than Dalton. But then the question is who will be hired this time. And if they are going to continue this reboot "realistic" approach or turn back to the Bond formula.I say that's unlikely with Barbara and co. in charge.John Drake wrote:Craig is bored with the role and his salary would eat into a big chunk of the budget. It doesn't make any sense to get him back. The hoopla surrounding a new Bond would make 25 more of an event than an aged Daniel Craig sleepwalking through what would presumably be his farewell film.
