I don’t think it was harmful, maybe not a smart choice given the current atmosphere. It is hypocritical, don’t objectify women unless your Ellen. It is getting dangerous where you can’t make a joke. Mel Brooks couldn’t get started in this Hollywood the trigger warnings and snowflakes bs would kill his movie before they began.bjmdds wrote:The Hollywood liberals are now eating their own----On Oct. 25, Ellen DeGeneres posted an image of her and her wife Portia de Rossi with the singer Katy Perry. In the snap, Ellen jokingly appears mesmerized by Katy's breasts. "Happy birthday, @KatyPerry! It's time to bring out the big balloons!," the daytime host wrote. While most agreed that the tweet was sent in jest, most also agreed that if a man sent that out, it would not be a laughing matter. Many Twitter users started using the hashtag "Ellen Weinstein." Several came to Ellen's defense, indicating that she and Katy are friends, and it's nothing more than good-natured play on words. Piers Morgan, never one to mince words, said that if a man tweeted something similar he would be called "a SEXIST PIG!" Ellen has been a loud critic of sexual harassment and even gave a speech about the issue in light of the latest scandal.

One year ago Ellen would be safe with this joke because she is gay, mock outrage and virtue signaling are the coin of the realm today. Funny or not doesn’t matter.
Hollywood so far is trying hard to ignore Cory Feldman and other child stars who were abused, if they sacrifice Weinstein and a few others they think it will be ok and we’ll continue ignoring Polanski and woody Allen.
