He gets around a bit old Colin. I'm looking forward to more Dr Who this year although I thought the recent Christmas special wasn't that great.

Hasn't been shown over here yet, and I don't do the bittorrent thing. I don't have the patience to spend hours downloading stuff.

It does on my creaky old laptop.

Hve you got broadband? I've got an old PC too.

Bittorrent is good for rare things, or things such as the last few episodes of The Sopranos which I downloaded when they aired in the US as I dod not want to hear about the ending. Dr. Who will turn up on Television soon, I presume?

Last I heard April on Sci-Fi. Should be soon after series 4 starts in the UK. Similar to the manner Torchwood series 2 is being handled.

The latest Christmas special was a improvement over last years. Why in the name of Gallifrey the producers have brought back The Runaway Bride as a companion is anybody's guess.

I have to give David his due for pulling off an outstanding performance under trying circumstances. David's mother died during filming of the Voyage of the Damned. Tough circumstances under the best conditions let alone retuning to film a show filled with death and dying like Voyage was.

Colin is not the first Bond alumni to guest in a Who related series. Samantha Bond was the main villain in the series pilot for the Sarah Jane spin-off.

Kristatos I know you are probably recording every eppisode anyway, this post is more a reminder for everyone else.
This Friday May 2nd on the Sci-Fi channel 'The Fires of Pompeii'. Perhaps one of the best shows of the new series.

Enjoy!

"...and then you remembered"

I wouldn't have recognised him if I didn't know who he was. He looked completely different to his role as Robinson in the Brosnan films.

Yeah I missed recognizing him at first. He could have been a black Lex Luthor.
From the set up I though he was going to be the bad guy, not a long suffering hero trying save everybody.

I'm looking forward to the finale on Saturday. I won't reveal anything for those who are a little behind but Russell T Davies has thrown the kitchen sink at his farewell episodes.

There were what like 8 actors to play the lead role were any of them not considered Dr Who?
It comes to mind only becasue it is another brit show that recasts the lead actor instead of changing the lead role.
SG 1 recast the lead role when MacGyver left. I suppose if it were a UK show they'd had O'Neill look different after he came out of a sarcophagus.

Not really. Different ball of yarn. The Doctor is primarily an alien character. So the more he changes the more he keeps in line with the established history of the new regeneration being different from the last . Until last night at least Ten actors have depicted the Doctor in the BBC series, not counting the 1960s Dalek movies and various specials where multiple actors were the Doctor including Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), Richard E. Grant, Hugh Grant & Joanna Lumley.
