Sean Connery has been voted the nation’s favourite James Bond almost fifty years after starring in his first 007 film, in research released today to mark the launch of the new GoldenEye 007: Reloaded video game. [highlight=#ffff80]Nearly one third (31%) of the 2,000 people surveyed named Connery their super spy, but it seems relative newcomer Daniel Craig is hot on the heels to succeed the suave Scot, securing second place with a 20% share of the vote with third place going to Pierce Brosnan (17%).[/highlight]

I still don't understand how creggs bonds almost behind Sir Sean Connerys bond, creggs is the anthesis of bond and he looks more like one of the evil german soldiers in diehard or indiana jones films, he almost looks like a lifelike spitting image puppet with his constant pouts it's like cregg constantly studied droopy expressions and thought d**n that's a bloody good idea and should work in a bond film if it can work for droopy....then dammit it can work for Me .

I don't get is they say Craig is hot on the heels of Connery but he and Pierce are almost the same distance in this poll from Connery, who is the man. He can't be caught and will never be caught. I think they thought Craig would top the poll or be closer to Connery. Come on its 6 years since he was cast and he can't catch Connery and barely bests Pierce in a UK only poll!
