Three pals died in '007 slick' crash

Post by Blowfeld »

A faulty farm vehicle sprayed hydraulic fluid on to a country road just hours before a fatal car crash.

Singer Jessica Foxley, 21, boyfriend Tom Petty and their friend Philip Wright, both 25, died when their car hit a wall in July last year.

Biker Norman Fleming said he had almost lost control on the slick earlier. Referring to a film scene, he said: "It was like James Bond's Aston Martin sprayed the road."

The friends were returning from a wedding when they crashed in Colne, Lancs.

Jessica's mum Margaret, who had seen the slick, told the hearing in Burnley that she believed sand used to cover the spill had not been spread evenly.

The inquest continues.
