James Bond 007: Blood Stone Unveiled

Post by Blowfeld »

I will merge this with other thread later.
To follow on from yesterday's announcement of Apache: Air Assault, Activision have also officially announced the long rumoured Bond game that Bizarre have been working on.

The game will be called James Bond 007: Blood Stone and will feature the likeness of Daniel Craig as James Bond. Judi Dench and Joss Stone will also be appearing in the game.

Blood Stone will feature third-person gunplay, hand-to-hand combat and driving, which should be extremely good given Bizarre's credentials.

The game is due for release later this year on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

Joss Stone To Be A Bond Girl For 'James Bond 007: Blood Ston

Not only is Bizarre Creations' "James Bond 007: Blood Stone" officially acknowledged as a game as of today; it's added British singer Joss Stone to its talent roster to accompany Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench, as well as to perform the original track "I'll Take it All" with Eurythmics member Dave Stewart.

"'James Bond 007: Blood Stone' captures the cinematic intensity of a Bond film by immersing players in an intriguing conspiracy that will require them to think and act like James Bond," Activision Publishing head of marketing for licensed properties David Pokress said in a press release. "In addition, the game will feature a diverse array of multi-player modes and debut strategic objective-based gameplay that will allow Xbox 360, PS3 and PC players to battle as teams of spies and mercenaries through authentic Bond locales."

Many wondered if this game would be a car-focused title, given Bizarre's history making games like "Blur" and the "Project Gotham" racing series. While the announcement does promise "full-throttle, behind-the-wheel action on land and sea" it also specifically references "cover-based firefights, lethal hand-to-hand combat" that will occur along the way.

What I want to know, though, is whether or not you'll be able to engage in knife fights while racing, because that would be pretty boss.

Looks like the poor chap who originally had the job was canned. Albeit as an original game it does a proper job of using Daniel's image, however the carryings-on seemingly happening leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I am not sure if it is game makers or EON pressing these things. EON seems likely as not.

What did they see the story here about Craig is not Bond for Activision and eon called them up and forced them to use Craig? Half kidding. The GoldenEye remake is a travesty, an original game I understand using Craig better still I don't think either game is going to sell worth a flip.

Looks ok. I going to go with COD Black Ops, Halo Reach, the new Assassins Creed and maybe the Gran Turismo 5 if it really gets released this time. With a limited gaming budget I am not going to wast it on a Bond game one thing we know for sure is they hit the discount bin very quickly. Almost I forgot about the Kinect, I may trade in my XBox to get the new bundle.
