Robert Pattinson Destroyed Pierce Brosnan’s Ego!

Post by Blowfeld »

Image
PIERCE Brosnan had to leave his ego at the door when it came to filming a movie with Robert Pattinson.

The former James Bond star realized he was no longer popular with the ladies when was completely ignored by all the female fans surrounding the set of Remember Me in favor of the Twilight hunk.

“I have no remaining ego whatsoever after shooting Remember Me with Robert last year,” says Brosnan. “His trailer was down one end of the avenue, surrounded by girls, and mine was a very quiet little haven of solitude at the other end.

“Even when we were shooting in the heart of New York, I could actually hear when Rob left his trailer; the girls would be going so bonkers!”

Brosnan also revealed that he has never watched Daniel Craig as 007.

“I haven’t seen Daniel in the role. I tried watching it on an airplane,” he says. “I thought 37,000 feet was a good distance to watch it from and it broke down right at the beginning. The attendant came and changed it and it broke down a second time, so I figured ‘OK. The Gods must be saying something . . .’ ]

“So I never went near it! I just thought, ‘let sleeping dogs lie.’ I got the Academy screener for the last one and I turned it on for my boys and I left them to it. I didn’t go near it.”

Just going to toss this one in here since it is related.
Pierce Brosnan says Robert Pattinson lives in a 'ferocious limelight'

Pierce Brosnan says Robert Pattinson lives in a 'ferocious limelight' | Amy Andrews Gossip Girl | IrishCentral

Irish star Pierce Brosnan says that hunky Robert Pattinson has been thrown into a "ferocious limelight" by his success with "Twilight."

And even the suave Brosnan says he has to admit that Pattinson is rather "dashing." (So reserved in their praise, these Irish guys!)

Brosnan says that shooting “Remember Me” in New York in the summer of 2009 was a tough task given Pattinson's popularity.

Brosnan says that they were constantly surrounded by "a couple hundred screaming teenage girls every day."

"For any young actor to be thrown into the ferocious limelight as Robert has been – must take its toll. He worked very hard and I wish him every success."

In fact, the big-hearted Irish actor said that Robert "acquainted himself grandly."

“Remember Me” which stars Brosnan as Pattinson's father will be in theaters March 12.

So the boy band type fame is more daunting than 007? I am a bit surprised by that.

Not surprised Pierce never watched CR, or the the flight attendants sabotaged the reels for him. It is what flying first class is all about. Of course last tiem I saw Pierce flying first class Sir Rogers daughter was the attendant

It seems that Pierce is still scarred by EON dumping him as 007.

Robert Pattinson is a younger version of Daniel Craig-he doesn't seem at all comfortable with his fame.

I do not see that. Everywhere he goes he will always be asked about it, and here he is saying some very good things about a popular young star he wroked with i guess taking the "fierce" spotlight off himself in self deprecating way. Now if you think he may be still POed at them maybe. Scared? No you just go on and do your job and he has plenty of jobs that is its own reward so what is there to be scared about. I do not see it.

Hopefully he'll find something else better than Bond at least to get that image off his mind.

Pierce Brosnan Shows Robert Pattinson How to Be Mr. Sociable

Robert Pattinson is not exactly known for being overly gregarious with his fans in public. But who knows – that could change if he keeps hanging out with Pierce Brosnan.

The two actors worked together in the upcoming film Remember Me, and in their downtime together, the former James Bond, 56, mentored the young Twilight heartthrob in the art of handling the gawking masses.

"He's totally recognizable, and he makes no effort to tone it down," Pattinson tells Vogue for its March issue. "Some people were glancing over at us in the restaurant, and he just went over and introduced himself. And it does work. It dissipates all the attention."

What, that's not Pattinson's typical approach? "Me? I just crawl under the table," he says.

Pattinson, 23, still seems baffled by the absurd nature of fame in today's unblinking public eye. "Everybody knows where everybody is," he says. "The Twitter thing is unbelievable."

ROBERT Pattinson loved filming his new movie Remember Me — because he got to work with Pierce Brosnan!

The Twilight hunk admits he’s a huge James Bond fan and was in awe of the 56-year-old actor, who played 007 for a number of years.

“What Pierce brought to the script and the set was great,” says Robert. “But more than anything, it was so cool to work with a James Bond!

“I probably came across like a geek but it was great.”

In recent interview with Vogue magazine, Pattinson, 23, revealed that Brosnan has given a few tips on how to deal with his fans.

“I went out a couple of times with Pierce Brosnan,” said Rob. “He’s totally recognizable, and he makes no effort to tone it down.

“Some people were glancing over at us in the restaurant, and he just went over and introduced himself. And it does work. It dissipates all the attention.”

He would like a go at it but says he doesn't run well. Mind you that didn't stop Daniel.
No Bond for me says RPatz, I'm no good at running!

RPatz says he'd love to go for a James Bond role but he reckons he wouldn't get it because he's no good at running.

Our Rob was talking to Sky News on the red carpet in London Wednesday evening at the premiere of his new movie "Remember Me."

Pattinson, 23, said he'd be a terrible secret agent.

Well now we know.
Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson wants his fans shaken and stirred as he is reportedly eyeing to play the legendary MI-6 superspy, James Bond.

According to reports, the 23-year-old actor is a huge fan of the 007 franchise created by Ian Fleming, and has set his eyes on a possible takeover from current Bond star, actor Daniel Craig.

However, the British actor admits he may struggle in certain areas of Bond's all-action job. "Maybe in a few years... (But) I'm not very good at running," Pattinson said.

The Hollywood heartthrob's interest might be a result of his bonding with former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan whom he credited with teaching him to deal with crazed fans.

Pattionson worked with Brosnan in upcoming movie Remember Me and was impressed how easily Brosnan handled the the attention they received when they went for dinner.
