Walford star becomes Bond for new game.

EastEnders actor Adam Croasdell has taken on the role of James Bond for the latest 007 video game.

The soap star, who plays Walford's Dr Al Jenkins, revealed that he was thrilled to be offered the part because he is keen to keep his career varied.

In an interview with BBC Asian Network, Crosdell confirmed: "Oddly enough I have just played James Bond in the new James Bond video game - how weird is that? I don't know what the future holds, but I'm always into varying up what comes my way, trying new things."

He continued: "I think video games and the making of that type of technology, being in a funny one-piece suit and being shot with 60 cameras, I think that's sort of the future.

"Andy Serkis did it in The Hobbit, and there's a new film Avatar which is James Cameron - it's all that sort of motion capture. I think it's the future, so I was fascinated to see how that would happen.

"I think in our lifetime it is going to swing very much into the realms of computerised environments and who knows, maybe there will be more of that."

Activision announced plans for the new Bond game in August. It is expected to be released next year.

Another kid I've never heard of! Is he the voice and the image of Bond?

By the looks of that photograph he has a classic Bond look. Far better than the ghostly, craggy visage of the Craigster.

He looks somewhat matched with Fleming's sketch of Bond.

Activision Announce New James Bond To Replace Daniel Craig

Post by Blowfeld »

In a very surprising move, Activision have made a very interesting change to their current line up of James Bond titles. Namely in the fact that the current actor playing James Bond, Daniel Craig, will not be reprising his role for the company's latest Bond title - a racing game helmed by Project Gotham Racing developers Bizarre Creations. The actor scheduled to replace Craig is Adam Croasdell. You might not know him by name, but some of you may know him for his work on UK soap EastEnders, playing the role of Dr Al Jenkins.

It's Bond yo.
The news of Croasdell's appointment as James Bond came int he form of an interview he did with BBC Asian Network (via Kotaku), and seemed rather chuffed to have actually portrayed the iconic spy: "Oddly enough I have just played James Bond in the new James Bond video game - how weird is that? I don't know what the future holds, but I'm always into varying up what comes my way, trying new things."

Given the fact that the Bond license is something that Activision could very easily make a lot of games for, it makes sense that they wouldn't be able to secure Daniel Craig to do mo-cap/voice over work for all of them, save for the ones directly tied into the movies. Either way, it's a very interesting development. Now let's see how other people attempt to accept him as the a new Bond.

It does seems that way. This is very big news. Using another actor to portray Bond is monumental even Brosnan was used in all the games except From Russia with Love.

Everything or Nothing was one of the best Bond games ever made when asked why they didn't make that a Bond movie Barbara Broccoil said it was because that was Peirce's Bond and now they made movies for Craig's.

It would be cool if he is the voice and face because then they are not restricted to the Bond time line and can do Dr. No the video game  . I think Pierce only did one or two games while his face was used on like a dozen games

Pierce still has another chance to do a Bond video game. So far, DAD remains unadapted into a video game.
