Korean figure star Kim Yu-na has revealed what music will accompany her when she challenges for the gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
The ice queen will skate to the James Bond ``007'' movie theme song for her short program, while for free skate she will perform to the piano concerto in F Major composed by George Gershwin of the United States.
The 18-year-old Korean, who arrived in Korea Tuesday for an ice show held from Aug. 14 to 16 at the Gymnastic Stadium, Olympic Park, revealed her music choices at Incheon International airport.
Kim's dance director David Wilson said soundtracks from such James Bond films as `Thunderbolt,' `Die Another Day,' `Dr. No,' will be included in a medley.
``When Wilson told me that the music for the short program was the James Bond theme song, I wasn't sure about it. But when I listened to the music repeatedly, it is really good enough that I enjoy listening to it in my normal life,'' Kim said.
The first and third parts of the piano concerto in F Major will be arranged for the free skate.
The selected music is meant to ensure the Korean figure star will enter the Olympics in a refreshed mood.
``I have been used to music that has a story. Right now, as I use classical music, I can perform more softly,'' added Kim. `` I will work to make my performance perfect for the Olympics."
Despite her confidence, some suspect whether the ice shows have been disturbing her preparations for the Winter Olympics.
But Kim said it won't have a negative impact on her training.
``Even though it is only August, my preparation is progressing well step-by-step," she explained.
``Because I didn't want it to be a burden on me in the new season, I decided to keep the ice show in front of fans to a minimum."
The world champion also revealed the reason that she changed her first jump to a triple lutz-triple toe loop last season.
``I didn't get a full score for my flip jump. I have confidence in any combination jump, so I decided to change. The decision was made after discussions with my coaching staff,'' Kim said.
In preparation for the Olympics, Kim will move to Canada as soon as the ice show ends. ``If I stay long in my country, it may have a bad effect on my training. As soon as I finish my performance I will come back to Canada.
`` As this is Olympic season right now, every one is nervous. I really would like to show a perfect program to my fans.''
No 'Another Waste of Time'
