Star of television show The Wire, very posh and British in real life, tested for Casino Royale and expressed open interest in playing Bond, might be a bit old when Daniel Kregg leaves, etc...

He's actually quite a bit younger looking than Craig, and is a year younger(born in 1969) than Craig. Kinda reminds me of Gary Sinise, looks wise.

He was a big favourite on the Bond forums when names to replace Brosnan were being thrown around. Mind you that was four or five years ago now.

He also reminds me a bit of Ioan Gruffud, who played Horatio Hornblower. I didn't know that about West's name being a fan favorite when they were trying to find a replacement for Pierce.
