Do you think he has changed beyond all recognition?
Would you go and see any more "Craig Bond Films" following the Bourne trend?
No.Milton Krest wrote:Given that QOS has been a unmitigated disaster, do you think Bond should retire from future missions?
No.Do you think he has changed beyond all recognition?
Probably.Would you go and see any more "Craig Bond Films" following the Bourne trend?

Not really!stockslivevan wrote:Here's an interesting note: The Spy Who Loved Me did less in the States than Quantum of Solace if you adjust inflation numbers. Curious isn't it?
MGW and Broccoli should step aside now and let Sony spend the money for an actor with a worldwide reputation like Jackman, instead of throwing out $200+ million on production costs to overshadow a rather boring, uninspiring, unattractive, and poor ambassador for the franchise, Daniel Craig.Milton Krest wrote:Given that QOS has been a unmitigated disaster, do you think Bond should retire from future missions?

You want Craig to remain now in the role MP?katied wrote:Disappointment?Yes. Disaster? No. I liked it a lot more than I thought I was going to,though.
Can't get behind the "Fire Craig and put someone else in there" stuff, though.

I disagree. Craig's here to stay.bjmdds wrote:MGW and Broccoli should step aside now and let Sony spend the money for an actor with a worldwide reputation like Jackman, instead of throwing out $200+ million on production costs to overshadow a rather boring, uninspiring, unattractive, and poor ambassador for the franchise, Daniel Craig.Milton Krest wrote:Given that QOS has been a unmitigated disaster, do you think Bond should retire from future missions?

Okay, let's talk modern films: Worldside adjusted it has done the same numbers as Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough. What does that say?FROSTY wrote:Not really!stockslivevan wrote:Here's an interesting note: The Spy Who Loved Me did less in the States than Quantum of Solace if you adjust inflation numbers. It says Tommorow Never Dies and The World Is Not Enough would have made much more if they had received the benefit of Sony's marketing.stockslivevan wrote:Okay, let's talk modern films: Worldside adjusted it has done the same numbers as Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough. The Spy Who Loved Me = 200 U.S. Theatres
Quantum Of Solace = 3,500 U.S. Theatres
Dollar for dollar - unadjusted,
QOS did only 3.5 times the amount of business of TSWLM, playing in 17.5 times the amount of Theatres
*does a slow hand clap for Mr. Craig*
I can't speak for someone else, but personally, I think deluding yourself that Craig's firing and replacement with Hugh Jackman is imminent is a recipe for constant disappointment. I'm not happy about Craig being in the role, but I'm resigned to it for now. For me, this forum is more a place to vent my spleen than anything. I don't expect any change to come as a result of it.bjmdds wrote:You want Craig to remain now in the role MP?
TSWLM must surely have been pulling in some pretty big crowds?,carl stromberg wrote:FROSTY wrote:Not really!stockslivevan wrote:Here's an interesting note: The Spy Who Loved Me did less in the States than Quantum of Solace if you adjust inflation numbers. Curious isn't it?![]()

I don't know about you but I clearly remember the marketing for TND, it was one of the most hyped up films in 1997.carl stromberg wrote:It says Tommorow Never Dies and The World Is Not Enough would have made much more if they had received the benefit of Sony's marketing.stockslivevan wrote:Okay, let's talk modern films: Worldside adjusted it has done the same numbers as Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough. The thing is, Quantum had a bumper budget and a big marketing campaign, which means it has flopped.
