Which Bond actor would make the best Doctor Who?
Which Bond actor would make the best Doctor Who?
We've already had the Bond Star Trek crew, so i thought I'd throw my favourite sci-fi show out there.
Personally, I vote for Roger Moore. His lighter, more humourous approach has been criticised as inappropriate for Bond, but it would be perfect for The Doctor. I could see Sir Rog (as he was in the 70s) as a dashing, more action-oriented Doctor in the Pertwee mould, but with David Tennant's appeal to da ladeez.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Pierce Brosnan could have been a dashing Dr Who not unlike Tennant. I sent off for an old back issue of Starburst ages ago because it was Bond related and it has rumours of a Dr Who film in the news section. The actor linked to the role in this proposed film is none other than a pre Bond Pierce Brosnan. They even had a comic drawing of Brozzer with a big Tom Baker scarf on.

Daniel Craig would make a decent Dalek

Brosnan I think. I can't see George Lazenby or Craig as Dr Who.

Sir Sean would have been great in a big budget screen version made a few years ago. His beardy look would have be good for Dr Who.
Brosnan would have made a good US TV (in the unlikely event such a series had been made)Dr Who in the late 80's/early1990's.

Sir Roger is an obvious choice, I am going to go with the not so obvious, Timothy Dalton.Kristatos wrote:We've already had the Bond Star Trek crew, so i thought I'd throw my favourite sci-fi show out there.

Sir Roger and Pierce have done enough comedy Who should come easy, Timothy seems so serious most of the time he seems unlikely to adapt to the Who universe. It wasn't until recently where he demonstrated his ability to lampoon himself.
I think he would have blast running from aluminium foil and screaming with bubble wrap painted green wrapped around his arm and wildly spinning the TARDIS controls.
- 1st Doctor
Timothy Dalton - 2nd Doctor
Roger Moore - 3rd Doctor
- 4th Doctor
Sean Connery - 7th Doctor
Pierce Bosnian - 8th Doctor
George Lazenby - 9th Doctor
- 10th(/11th?) Doctor
Jaws - Cyberman
Alec Trevelyan - The Master
Michael Kitchen - Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart
Judi Dench - The Rani
Christopher Walken - Dr Solon
Daniel Craig - Morbius

All this talk about Bond made me wonder which of the Doctors would have been good Bond. David Tennant comes to mind.

DT is pretty much the only Doctor who could even be remotely considered a plausible Bond candidate. I still think he's too skinny, though.Blowfeld wrote:All this talk about Bond made me wonder which of the Doctors would have been good Bond. David Tennant comes to mind.

So was Pierce when he first got the role during his Remington Steele days. Well and GE if the truth be told.Kristatos wrote:DT is pretty much the only Doctor who could even be remotely considered a plausible Bond candidate. David does look smaller and skinnier than most Doctors. I constantly mistake him for Richard Hammond
I'd wager we could convince him to have the scar on the right side of his face, he loves that kind of stuff.
The companions have compared David to James Bond once or twice in the new series (when wearing a tuxedo). Which sadly is more than can be said of Daniel.
