The trailer looks smashing. Brought a smile on my face. It looks more stylish. Action and locations look good, Craig looks relaxed (walking arounds topless with a smug smirk is soooo Connery), but there's still that same old-lady dialogue. Ah well, that's to be expected. And I love how we get to add a new piece of nonsensical dialogue to the Purvis & Wade canon. "Put a stop on his passports!" You can put "stops" on passports? It's also nice to finally see an action movie that doesn't have a crappy blue and/or orange tint to it. I knew I could rely on Bond for that.

Ugh.Muddled for one thing.Boring for another.It's getting nearly unanimous rave reviews over at the Place That Can't Be Named.Big surprise there.

Saw the trailer today. More or less what I expected. Looks like Casino Royale but somehow much more generic. If there are clever lines in this film they chose not to show their hand early because some of the dialogue was risible. Craig looks much smaller. Action is fine. Judi Dench should have been let go by now. Nothing exciting on the whole.

You don't have to agree with my change of heart.I find it amusing that the people here(like you)who used to be kind of skeptical about Bond are now piling on to say how great the QOS trailer is.Speaking of changing one's mind.....

It happened back in 2006 when people were still skeptical about Craig in the role then started feeling he might not be as bad as they thought after seeing a trailer. I agree Terry, it was what I expected. Judi was Brosnan's M. Standard action scenes, and Craig is still badly miscast as Bond; but then this is not Bond anymore.Terry wrote:Saw the trailer today. Well, I finally got to watch this on my computer at home, and it looks like a lot of what I disliked in CR is going to carry over into the new film. Chief among them is that Craig still isn't Bond to me, even in long-shot. The Really Big Gun from the final scene of CR makes a reappearance and I find it fundamentally unBondlike. What happened to the Walther PPK and M telling him off for carrying such a girly gun?
