007 to be more casual in Bond 22

Some good news to cheer you all up.....


He may have worn the world's most famous tuxedo for the past 45 years, but James Bond may finally be loosening up, if a report in the Daily Express is to be believed.

The paper claims that Daniel Craig will be donning less formal attire in the 22nd film, due out November 7th 2008.

According to ther report, a spokeswoman for Brioni, who dressed Craig for Casino Royale, said the star would be in more casual attire for the 2008 film. The company has made Bond suits for 13 years, starting with Pierce Brosnan in Goldeneye.

Of course, you guys will love it... even though it is obvious that everything Bondian is now trashed by whoever was making Bond this way. You might argue that CR is a very serious film. Some of the films from our beloved past 20 films might be lighter, but we can still feel the class, suave James Bond in there. If they want a serious film, why can't they make one that is the same style with LTK (which is a very good serious Bond film)? Why do they have to copy from X-Men 3 (Juggernaut Scene), and let him dress casually? Maybe that's the modern trend of spies, but that's not James Bond; James Bond's from the values of 60, when people are more class.

Your Damon signature comment hits the nail on the head. For Bond to be updated to the 21st century, he has to go through some modernisation. This is nothing new. In the 70's we had Bond wearing safari suits, something Connery would never have worn in the 60's.

In the 80's with LTK, ironically the film you mentioned, this is probably the most casual we have ever seen Bond dress - until CR. In OHMSS, we saw Bond wearing cardigans, orange golf jackets with roll necks, and he even wore a kilt!!

Bond needs to modernise to keep being successful. The Brosnan films are already starting to look dated now.

He likes his eggs 'just so' and is not going to eat at MacDonalds or an avant-garde cafe featuring fried snail omelettes If he's going to start wearing t-shirts (and it seems this new 'Bond' is heading that way ) the part may as well be played by Bruce Willis. Certainly, the new Bond is closer to the Die Hard hero than the original and real 007. Original is the key word here.

Agreed Commander! But hey if people like Bond dressing like a Chav instead of him eating in a avent garde restaurant why not have him in a Mcdonalds. How do you like your Big Mac? Does it look like a give a damm?
