He's a well-known author of spy fiction (Day of the Jackal, The Fourth Protocol), which I suppose might fool some people into thinking of him as a Bond insider, just because he writes in roughly the same genre as Ian Fleming. But there's no real reason to suppose that this is any more than gossip and hearsay. It's like going to JK Rowling for news on the Hobbit movies because she writes fantasy.

That's funny, I read John le Carré's neighbor's, cousin's, friend heard just the opposite from his anonymous source!

lol

I read it as some random writer, yes he writes spy novels but why does he have source telling him what's going on in bond

And around the same internationally. Expect a big drop next weekend, though. I expect it will show a profit in the end, in spite of terrible reviews.

As of Aug. 7, Ghostbusters had earned just under $180 million at the global box office, including $117 million domestic. The film still hasn't opened in a few markets, including France, Japan and Mexico, but box-office experts say it will have trouble getting to $225 million despite a hefty net production budget of $144 million plus a big marketing spend. The studio has said break-even would be $300 million.

Sony hardly is alone in suffering from audience rejection of sequels this summer. But film chief Tom Rothman and his team, along with partner Village Roadshow, had high hopes for launching a live-action Ghostbusters "universe." Now they are preparing for steep losses (think $70 million-plus) and an uncertain future for the franchise.

No way the broke even with $300, unless they were counting in DVD sales before they happen.
$144 million plus p&a is probably $300 million they get less then half of bo. I wish someone would call them out when the give these kind of numbers. Or sue for false advertising.

Ugh..don't forget to hydrate! It's SO nice here-I dunno if anyone here has been to Hawaii(the Big Island) or any of the other islands(Maui,Oahu, etc.) but if you have you know what I'm talking about. It's gonna be hard to go back home!

It's very expensive to live in Hawaii. Will you visit all 5 islands?

Twitter has just reminded me that Ian Fleming died on this day in 1964.

Weird I don't have permission to reply to a interview kris posted about hammerhead.

Dunno if its the app or forum. The app auto updated after I rest the phone, never use auto update so it was surprising when all these buggy app update.
