Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
With a 56% drop in its 4th frame overseas, BvS has an international cume of $516M after adding $15.1M.......................... Below The Boss in fourth position is Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with an estimated $9 million as it dropped 61.4% in its fourth weekend in release. The film's domestic cume is now up to $311.3 million to go along with an international total of $516 million for a current global take of over $825 million........CA:Civil War will do anywhere from 50%-70% higher than this tortuous mess of a film, and possibly more..................................Blockbusters Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Zootopia claimed fourth and fifth place with respective weekend estimates of $9.01 million and $8.24 million. Warner’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice continued to freefall while Disney’s Zootopia continued to display healthy holding power by declining a solid 43 percent in the face of The Jungle Book. Respective total grosses stand at $311.31 million for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 24 days and at $307.48 million for Zootopia in 45 days. Given the far stronger holding power of Zootopia, it looks to emerge as the higher grossing of the two films domestically when everything is said and done.

There are some projections that Batman v Superman will top out at $875 million worldwide which would trail SPECTRE at $880 million.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice followed in fourth place with $0.650 million. Warner’s blockbuster 3D superhero film starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill declined 74 percent from Sunday and sharp 56 percent from last Monday. Batman v Superman has grossed $311.98 million in 25 days, but continues to display poor holding power.

Zachary Quinto spoke about the movie too recently, saying that he believed that the fiftieth anniversary of Star Trek has influenced the new movie. “There’s a retro kind of vibe to it,” he said. “At least, I felt that when we were making it. So, we’ll see how it turns out.”

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
DC has fired Vertigo head honcho Shelly Bond. The reason this sucks if you're a comics fan is that Bond had a reputation as being the last person left in a senior position at the Big Two who actually saw comics as a storytelling medium in their own right, rather than as an item of tie-in merchandising for the Marvel and DC cinematic universes, like a lunchbox or an action figure. Meanwhile, notorious sexual predator Eddie Berganza gets to keep his job. I suppose if you were determined to put a positive spin on it, you could say that he's being punished by being given one less pair of breasts to grope

Fandango released the following: “Captain America: Civil War,” outselling every previous Marvel movie in advance ticket sales, has been voted the summer’s most anticipated action movie in a Fandango survey, while “Ghostbusters” and “Finding Dory” were picked as the season’s most anticipated comedy and family film, respectively..............we saw this coming

Matthew Goode has says Bond isn't working. He also said he has not been auditioned for Bond this time - does this mean Eon are searching for a new Bond?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Not necessarily. Maybe the reason he hasn't been asked is that they're not.carl stromberg wrote:Matthew Goode has says Bond isn't working. He also said he has not been auditioned for Bond this time - does this mean Eon are searching for a new Bond?

Chatting on This Morning, the Downton Abbey star suggested that it was time to completely reboot 007 and send the stories back to the '60s.

Always liked him. Also think he could be a good fit for Bond. And...that voice.bjmdds wrote:Chatting on This Morning, the Downton Abbey star suggested that it was time to completely reboot 007 and send the stories back to the '60s.
