For crying out loud.. Brosnan said what he had to say. He was asked would Elba made a good Bond and the only thing he said is yes... he couldn't say no because then there would be all that "racist" nonsence. He didn't say anything else other than that... plus is he making a decision a decision on who is going to be James Bond? All that crap came from Amy Pascal and now there is even a site on facebook about elba being the next Bond.. that just shows how some people truly forgot who or what is Bond supposed to be... and no,it has nothing to do with racism.

Dubai-based distributor Gulf Film has secured Middle East theatrical distribution rights to “Spectre” and plans to release the upcoming 24th James Bond film across the region on November 6, day-and-date with its U.S. outing.

Gulf Film’s agreement with MGM is being touted as a key step in the expansion of the regions’s dominant local distribution/exhibition outfit.

“It was very important for us to secure the rights of a movie of that stature,” said Gulf CEO Selim El Azar, noting that “the production budget on ‘Spectre’ is north of $250 million.”

“Being the biggest distribution company in the Middle East, along with our exhibition arm, we approached MGM saying that what we could offer is definitely better and bigger than what others can,” he boasted.

The November 6 Middle East release of “Spectre” will take place across more than 250 screens, at least 115 of which in multiplexes owned by Gulf Films’ Novo Cinemas exhibition arm located in 14 facilities across Qatar, the UAE and Jordan. Novo Cinemas operate four Imax screens.The bulk of Middle East theatrical revenue now come from the Gulf for several reasons, not least of which the fact that ticket prices are higher.

Gulf Films, which is owned by Qatar Media Services, handles at least half the films released in the Middle East, including plenty of Hollywood product such as Paramount and Universal titles.

In January Gulf Films scored boffo returns from the Middle East release of Fox’s Liam Neeson-starrer “Taken 3,” which pulled in $10.3 million — the region’s ninth box office intake ever – after Neeson made the trek to Dubai for the Middle East’s first Hollywood-style fan premiere.

“Now we are in discussions with MGM to also host Daniel Craig, though this is not confirmed,” El Azar said. “We will use every possible marketing tool to promote this film,” he added. (FBF knew this would happen)

“Skyfall,” the 23rd Bond pic, which broke box office records in the U.S. and the U.K., took $9.3 million in the region in 2012 via Lebanese distributor Selim Ramia and company.

That's true.Sadly.I don't know what's with the whole "serious" and "gritty" crap...come on.Bond movies were never meant to be overly serious or anything.Come on,the guy has a car with ejector-seat and car-registration features his code number and initials(witness:Goldfinger).A villain is offering him a martini shaken not stirred and also politely chats with him over dinner.To quote something from Kingsman poster:"Manners are not optional but essential." Long gone are the times when every boy wanted to be James Bond.Isn't Jonathan Pryce the one who once famously remarked how:"Every boy dreams of being a Bond villain-once he realises he's not going to be Bond himself." Pryce was obviously having a time of his life playing Elliot Carver. Conclusion,let me quote one fellow of mine:"Connery is the best,Brosnan is up there next to him,Craig is the worst.James Bond has been and should remain a man known for sophistication,charm,wit and his martini that is shaken,not stirred.Daniel Craig shares only first and (unfortunately) last name with the man described above.It's really a pity that our hero is turned into a lumberman who gets girl with a line:"That's because you know what I can do with my little finger." Spot on.

I also think the drama and attempt to be serious isn't the worst part really with the new Bonds. Fleming's books were rather serious in some aspects, even if his stories were adventure stories rather than realistic spy thrillers.

The worst part is that the new films are rubbish made by incompetent filmmakers, yet somehow they still get a lot of praise from both critics and the audience.

He said that when they cornered him with a question about Elba. Who knows maybe he added because he thought "yes" would be too short of an answer and thought he needed to back it up somehow. There's also a possibility that that was all prepared and staged as well. It'a a well known fact that stars get the questions they are going to be asked before the interviews. For all we know he said that just because. Like stars say everything they really think. I bet that a good amount of time that's not the case. And also-it's not his thing to say anything bad. For example in 2008 he said how Craig is great as Bond but then four years later he said how he never watched any of his movies. See how it works? Star say some things in interviews because it's the right thing to do. And with that email...rumor has it...
But my opinion is that that's not going to happen. I don't think they would go that far-but then again I wouldn't be 100% shocked either considering how much Babs ruined... but bottom line is...FBF is right. Bond is no more and he could be anything or anyone. I don't think it's really plausible that Broccoli will sudenly pick some brains on the street and remember who or what Bond is. And calm down-no reason to bash anyone just because they said this or that...he just said it-it doesn't mean he really thinks so. Like I said stars usually have prepared answers to questions and "yes" is just a peacefull answer because "no" would be full of negativity or it would be racist...that's how some would comment on it...even though that's not the point. Plus he isn't the one that will hire another Bond. Babs has that power...

You probably saw a picture of the real car with that number on the internet, but that was a newer picture in honor of the GF car so to speak, it wasn't from the 1960s and it wasn't from the film.

No,I think he said how he tried to watch Quantum of Solace on the plane but DVD crashed and he said in 2012 how Skyfall is the only Craig movie he watched-and he only said he liked it.
