It was the same thing with Skyfall-many people wrote how that's a "movie to forget" and also said how the movie was maximal dissapointment and how Craig isn't for Bond.

I am-that was written by someone else but I posted it as example because it's absolutely right. It says how Craig isn't really that popular as FBF claims.

Sure, let's just bash the classic Bonds some more, while disregarding the three-ring circus going on behind the scenes of Spectre.

Saint, did you like Kilmer's role at all or just Moore's?

Now the REAL Bond is what? Not worthy any more? Now it's "work of art" with Bond being depressed, alcoholic and pill addict. Please spare me the depression. The reason people liked James Bond for forty years is because suave, sophisticated, charismatic,in control man with aura of coolness around him and a charisma that just has to be admired

I can't comment on Kilmer since I haven't seen the film, but I've heard most people say it wasn't all that great. Wouldn't mind checking out the 1970s Return Of The Saint series, however.

Exactly, and Waltz is being a disrespectful smart a$$ by referring to the people who worked on the older films as "hacks" and "hams". There wouldn't be any James Bond today if it wasn't for the people who made the series such a success in the past.

Waltz denigrated ALL of the pre-Cr-egg Bond films and I hope this film is poorly received by the masses, where repeat viewings will be few for the average moviegoer.

Quite. If there wasn't for Connery who created the phenomenon,Moore who got the franchise through the seventies and half of the eighties and Brosnan who reinvented it there would be no these "work of art" bullshits. I'm not disrespecting Dalton but since he made only two movies he didn't made an "era".

Craig gets praised for a lot of things that Dalton did over twenty years before. Unlike Craig, I think Dalton does a better job with balancing the book and cinema Bond. I wasn't too crazy about Dalton at first, but I've grown to appreciate him over the years, and it seems he has gained a little more recognition recently.

Craig did absolutely nothing except being completely and totally wrong for the role. I only watched TLD I'll admit and Dalton isn't as suave or elegant or cool or charismatic as Brosnan,Connery and Moore are but I think he is the closest thing to a real life spy out all of them. Plus he has looks unlike Craig. Although when he needs to deliver a one-liner he somehow doesn't live up to the challenge and it feels flat while with Moore it is the most natural thing in the world and Connery and Brosnan could pull it off as well. Still he is FAR better than Craig. Dalton did more of a literary Bond than movie Bond(the Bond we all know and love) but in TLD Bond was actually recognisable. He still knew fine wines and cared about his vodka martini.. and of course while he was supposed to be on a task he was with a cellist. :007: Oh,if M knew. :D Craig did neither literary or movie Bond. He does Steven Seagal with some kind of mix of depression and not being able to cope with his job. And Richie Rich cause he had big mansion and nanny.

This if why it bothers me when Pierce, Roger and the others go all lovey on NuBond. They keep being knifed in the back, reputation trashed, by the same people who delight in receiving these former 007 actors approval.
Hack writers, certainly sounds like Logan to me. Certainly he can't mean P&W, the saviours who came back after being begged by the not ham actor Daniel and the not a hack director to fix the not hack script. Christopher probably is not aware MGW was a writer of probably what he considerer hack scripts.

I seriously want this to replace Quantum as worst Bond film (eva!).

I like Peter as well, a little of the 1st Doctor and maybe a some of the 6th (at least Colin likes to think so).
Sylvester's time was marred by some haters, eventually perhaps because of the New Adventures book series he reached are more epic standing. Well at least to some fans.
Sorry all for My anger last week, a relative (grandad) was/is still in hospital (had a few mini strokes then a major stroke), he's 92 and got other stuff he's had for 4 years as well and I guess the last thing I need at the minute is more realism gritty drek esp given the circumstances at the minute, I'm well and truly sick of this so called era of bond (just lighten the beep up already..life's too serious as it is at times).
No worries. It's a tough time to go thought even if it is something you know to expect.

I wonder if these will be uv (buy it on google play it goes to a digital locket vudu and others play) probably not since it is Disney .

Bad thing is the movies cost more than the Blu-Rays for 6 movies and they are the latest Lucas tweaked versions. There was a rumor Disney and fox were going to make the origami Verizon's available , maybe they will be fore the next movie

We don't have Indy in digital either. And yes we do need other versions too even the unaltered ones.
actually the Indys have been available for a couple years. Most of Spielberg's movies as well. Jp et jaws.
I think the indy bluray now come with uv codes.

Lucas was one of the few hold outs left

Thank God that some Bond girls told the truth like Ursula Andres and Sophie Marceau etc... about Bonds going all lovely on Craig. Connery said nothing really since he doesn't go public anymore but I don't think he is all gentlemen and nice as Moore and Brosnan are... personally I always got the impression he always respected Brosnan the most out of all actors that followed him and also backed up Moore when he got the part. He did say honestly that he Dalton never got the handle on the role(his opinion). So I don't he would go all lovely dovely on Craig especially because he never was in good relations with Broccoli's. Brosnan obviously said it because he felt he had to. He said something around 2008 but then in 2012 said how he never watched Craig before. I hope Dalton and Moore don't mean seriously when they say Craig is great..personally I can more easily believe Dalton said it than Moore...but...still.. if they don't know what Bond should be like then no one does.
