Happy Passover and Easter!

Hope everyone regardless of faith had a meaningful time with their families.

Re Fantastic Four reboot. The main thing the old movies had going for them was Jessica Alba. I don't know if she was the right choice for Sue Storm but she was so incredibly hot it didn't matter.

Why did Bond never try to get her as a Bond girl?

Maybe it's because it's James Bond. I don't know what he thinks of his non-Bonds critically. Anyway the thing about him having a new beginning and a third career (first and second being Steele and Bond respectively) with projects with massive success critically as financially is to prove that he is not limited to 007 especially when GE is his only classic Bond.
Well he probably doesn't watch them because he doesn't want to watch himself. It's sad really if he thinks he wasn't good as James Bond.
He could always look at the reviews or have someone look at them on his behalf. Seriously he may doing well in terms of getting as much as work as possible, but because everything he did after GE either get poor reviews or went under radar (or both), this is not normal for someone who is not only the best and most popular since Sean but also a brand name actor. That debut Bond film of his has sat on that throne for too long already.

I don't think they're really under the radar, though. You can't expect films like that to make the same sort of box office as, say, the latest Transformers movie, but I think they performed decently for mid-budget indies.

Not everything got poor reviews. And even if reviews weren't particulary great they weren't poor either. "Under the radar" is actually bigger thing than reviews. "Evelyn" and "The Thomas Crown Affair" got positive reviews and didn't go under the radar. You can especially find positive reviews about "Evelyn" like "It's amazing to see Pierce in this role and not even being reminded of the famous 007. He truly did a wonderful job!" Or sth like that.

SHUT THE F*CK*NG HELL UP BJ!!!!!!!!!! The public won't be interested even if it get good reviews especially since Thomas Crown remake is 16 years old years already. Have you look at what happen to Son of the Mask or Basic Instinct 2. Thomas Crown 2 is SUICIDE if made today.

Try EX4 or/and any future EX films instead. Maybe the reviews won't be as good, but I can see EX the franchise following the example of the The Fast and the Furious where the series took a better turn by the 5th film.

Both Evelyn and Thomas Crown are underrated though the latter gets more notice.

The thing is that after GE, either Pierce does not get the recognition he deserves or his talents was misused.

The Ghost Writer had a better Rotten Tomatoes rating than GE.

You have to calm down FBF. Your blood pressure will rise every time The Topkapi Affair is even mentioned for Brosnan.

You always think Thomas Crown 2 will be his comeback, but a sequel to 16 year old remake would be suicide for his career.

But unlike GE, The Ghost Writer didn't get the recognition it deserves. No nominations from the BAFTA, Golden Globes or especially the Oscars.

Fast and furious 7 crushed it. $143.6 million!

Kingsman managed 8th with 200 screens bring their total up to $122 million U.S. . $370 all totaled . They make money for sure maybe we'll get a sequel !

Is it just me or is F&F franchise is becoming like Bond in terms of the atmosphere? And it's all about Kingsman. Spectre can make billions at the box office for all those Pro-Craig orcs care, and the 7th Bond can be anyone or anything.

I don't think you are thinking straight talking to bj like you did.

Far as Brosnan he said he wanted to make that sequel just in the last year it might be a bigger hit I doubt that movie will ever get made anyway.

but he's not going to have a role bigger than the bond franchise gave him. Doing action movies and having a more varied career is the best thing for him.

But none of that excuses what you did.

At least say your sorry to bj. That's the right thing

Thomas Crown 2 is NOT going anywhere, but if made today, it will NOT be his comeback but rather a suicide. Think Son of the Mask and Basic Instinct 2 for example.
but he's not going to have a role bigger than the bond franchise gave him.
Maybe not. But look at Sir Patrick Stewart. Thanks to X-Men, the general public now sees him past his Star Trek image.
Doing action movies and having a more varied career is the best thing for him.
I hope his upcoming actioners will be better than GE which has held its throne for TOO long already according to Glorious England (who hasn't been here for a long time).
At least say your sorry to bj. That's the right thing
I hope he accepts my apology. I just really want nothing but the best for Pierce's career especially since his Bond career didn't give him justice due to that fact that GE was his only classic Bond to the majority.
