Principal production on "Man of Steel 2" is expected to begin this weekend with the filming of a football game scene. According to East Los Angeles College Campus News, the scene will be filmed during the school's real Husky football game at the Weingart stadium on October 19.

At the halftime, the stadium will be transformed into Gotham City University home stadium. It is set up as a showdown between the Gotham City University and its rival Metropolis State University, while in reality, it's a face-off between East Los Angeles College and Victor Valley College.

Filmmakers are looking for extras, preferably ELAC students for the scene. They are asked to wear outfits with black and gold colors to cheer on the fictional team of the Gotham City. The first 2,000 people who sit in the filming area of the stadium will receive T-shirts designed by director Zack Snyder.

It's unclear if the main actors, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck who play the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight respectively, will show up for the filming. But sources claim it's unlikely to happen because they are reportedly not scheduled to film any of their scenes until early next year.

The sequel to "Man of Steel" released this summer will pick up where the first film left off and chart the first encounter between the titular superhero and the caped crusader. How will Batman be portrayed in the upcoming sequel of "Man of Steel"? Warner Bros. Chief Kevin Tsujihara gave a little scoop on the matter at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2013 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference in Beverly Hills.

Tsujihara said the Dark Knight who would be portrayed by Ben Affleck in the "Man of Steel 2" wouldn't be bright and light. The Caped Crusader would be "tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for awhile," so he spilled to a room full of Wall Street analysts.

Affleck's casting as the beloved hero previously played by Christian Bale in the recently-wrapped Christopher Nolan trilogy got mixed reactions from hardcore fans. It even spawned an online petition asking for the switcheroo, but the studio sticks to their choice.

"Ben is perfect for the vision Zack has for that character," Tsujihara said. He saw the controversies surrounding Affleck's casting as a good thing, "The fact that you saw such a passionate response in the blogosphere is really kind of a testament to the love that people have for this character."

The next "Man of Steel" movie will explore the first encounter of Batman of Superman. Director Zack Snyder and screenwriter David S. Goyer will return to their respective posts behind the scene, while Henry Cavill reprises his role as the titular hero and Amy Adams is back as Lois Lane. It is due July 17, 2015. (These morons just don't understand the outrage. Who wants to deal with a burnt out Batman? Unreal :!: The following comment sums it all up: posted by Su on Sep 14, 2013
Ben Affleck's Batman will be tired and weary? And boring? We've been here before-in red tights and blind I believe, although I cannot for the life of me recall the superhero he played. Yep-if tired and weary and boring is what you want, he's your man!

Sorry I'd like him as Bond he is a bad ass. I know Black bond is a touchy subject to my mind compared to Craig I'd rather have a black man who can act like Bond than a moody wooden actor who can't.

He is handsome so that should fit the profile. I'm sure his Bond would be smarter than DC's.

So we have found your IDEAL next Bond actor, given what Broccoli has perpetuated on the minions, correct? He even has a quirky name to go along with the anti-Eon theme you have devised. FBF, read this I found from the internet: The James Bond rumours, are believed to have been born from suggestions from current 007 -- Daniel Craig -- that, if America could elect a black President, then Britain can have a black James Bond. Modest Chiwetel, however, refuses to be carried away by the hype. Though in his words: "You never know". - See more at: http://www.star1960.com/movies-tv/chiwe ... 7qEVk.dpuf

If the b1tch choose Chiwetel, let her do it. I like him as an actor so I'll watch his Bond online or on DVD if I get bored.

Sheamus or Wade Barrett should do. They're appropriate for Babs' evil empire than Chiwetel.

You have suffiecient choices now FBF. How are you set with Star Trek in terms of your enthusiasm after the second reboot film?

The traditional tall and dark-haired types are irrelevant based on the nonsensical success and recognition of Skyfall, especially here in the US. Every rebel should realize this by now. You want a classic Bond to return? We got Pierce's upcoming actioners where he has and will venture more into a dark territory as an action hero, which something he never had a chance to do as Bond. He's giving us second chance that will blow GoldenEye out of proportion in every department. We need November Man, The Coup, and all other his upcoming actioners to put his debut Bond to the biggest shame we ever imagine. This, my friend, is big picture of his post-Bond career. Pierce may be doing well after Bond, but he doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Plus, he's almost typecast as lighthearted thanks to his rom-coms in the recent years. Yeah, he had darker roles as well but only in comedy and drama, such as The Matador and The Ghost Writer. But thank goodness November Man has change all of that.

I'm loyal to Star Trek as always. If we have more rehashes coming along the way, let it be. It's the alternative universe. Anything can happen. Yeah, you can't redo a classic, but better that than DC's Bonds. Again, I hate the idea of Khan in ID at first, but I like it now. A character changing from Indian (Ricardo is Mexican yet he passes as Indian) to British Caucasian is something that isn't new to Trek. For example, Deanna Troi changed to Romulan temporary in one episode. Futhermore, Khan becoming British makes me think of Graves from DAD where he went from Korean to British. If another character is rehashed, I'm sure the Abrams and his team would be do something creative about it. Other than that, bring in new villains instead. Make Klingons as the next villain. They're the Jokers of Trek. And bring in the Shat as the older Kirk.

Shatner would LOVE that role, but he died in the future in that crummy Nexus plot film.

His death is handled properly in ID than in GEN.

not a bad tribute. Speaking of Doctor Who is doing the 50th right, so sad that 007 squandered their golden anniversary.

What if he plays Thomas Wayne? After all, he voiced the character in Arkham City.
