Tom looks more handsome than DC, but he lacks the facial qualities defines a classic Bond no matter how much he try. Plus, he's 5'9'' which is too short for Bond, but that doesn't matter anymore. Like those minions said, looks don't count. In a way, I'll be happy if traditional tall and handsome type actor is not involved. After all, the b1tch made Pierce look a failed Bond star (as GE being the only classic Bond he has to the general public) and got away with it along with the nonsensical success and recognition of SF.
Will you then disavow TDK trilogy as an insult to the Bat legacy?
How dare you say that? :x TDK trilogy is our friend here. Now you're sounding like someone who prefers Clooney's Batman & Robin.

You misunderstand FBF. IF Nolan goes gaga over Broccoli, and directs a Bond trilogy, will that make you fed up with him and disavow the Bat trilogy?

I will honor the pre-Bond Nolan and his works. Him directing a DC Bond movie. Now that's where I can consider him an enemy.

Nolan stated that he will not direct a movie starring Daniel Craig. He wants to start his own take on the franchise, do his own Bond. And I won't be surprised if he kills off the character in the end, but then, the character died in 2004 when Brosnan left. And I don't think Babs will get on with him and he'll just do one movie, leaving unanswered questions as the series will end up being in an intolerable mess which cause its eventual death. That being said.

FBF, Bale's Batman audition tape: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... FK8kWf9hMM Bale's controversial "Batman voice" was present in his audition as well and helped him win the role. "I think Christian's voice was a big part of the impression he made in the test," Nolan said. "He had decided that Batman needed to have a different voice to Bruce Wayne, that he needed to put on a voice." When Christian Bale auditioned for the role of Batman in Christopher Nolan's 2005 reboot, "Batman Begins," he did it wearing Val Kilmer's old batsuit, according to a new documentary about the films set to be released with "The Dark Knight Trilogy: The Ultimate Collector's Edition" Blu-ray package on Tuesday.

They removed it already from the internet. Omega and I were able to see it prior to it being removed.

Wasn't Bale a popular candidate among the fans when Batman Begins was in development?

I am not sure. Did you watch S.H.I.E.L.D. tonight on ABC? It was OK, nothing spectacular, but nothing like the main Avengers. They showed Thor 2 clips. It looks good. I still have not seen Captain America nor Thor I. Loki is back in Thor 2.

I really don't care about agents of SHIELD. It's a nice idea but has the stink of television failure. Like what was that show about the flying Grayson's, nobody cares about them because nobody cares about Robin. NBC is going to have a show about young commissioner Gordon , that's going to suck too.

Shows like smallville and arrow work because they have a story to tell about main characters.
Arrow is a little surprising cause I thought it'd fail like aquaman.

FBF, why didn't the Bat simply take a weapon out of his utility belt and kill Bane? Why hand to hand combat? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVFi6Pb4Guw

Batman doesn't kill and doesn't carry lethal weapons. The Nolan films were truer to the character in that regard than the Burton/Schumacher ones.

But he does kill The Joker in The Dark Knight Returns comic book. AND the super-mutant man.

I'm here! I have something to submit just to show how a VERY good and respectable (and Hollywood Royalty, as he's the G in MGM) actor who is 53 years old looks and moves (and I've seen him in a NUMBER of things) like James Bond a LOT more than Craig does, sorry. Just to say... there are far better candidates, it's just a matter of WANTING them. I am by no means saying they should cast him as Bond (besides, he's American, so it would be a no go) but just underlining that there are FAR better people around who are even older than Craig (and look way younger). Note that in this particular image he looks way older than he normally does, so imagine. But...

Image

THIS is someone who looks like James Bond (not sure the photo shows but he's got piercing blue eyes, too). And who's got the style, charm and acting chops, too.

And another one that shows the blue eyes, too

Image

Btw, he's 6 ft 2. With a RIDICULOUSLY great physique. And again, I'm just saying this to underline how there ARE far more Bond-looking people around than DC, who are also great actors... again not saying he should be cast at all, just showing there are options. The ONLY real and appropriate option is Henry Cavill.

But The Dark Knight Returns was not a "typical" Batman comic. It represented Batman at the end of his career being pushed beyond his limits, and behaving out of character as a result. I suppose you could say the same thing about The Dark Knight Rises, but then you have to admit to a more prosaic explanation - it would be kind of an anticlimax if Batman had simply pulled out a gun and shot Bane!
