They won't switch him unless the film tanks. Tv and internet discussions deem it an awful decision. Cr-egg:Bond as Reynolds:Green Lantern as Affleck:Batman. Just wait until you see him in the cowl and you start laughing at him like a hyena. Where is FBF? His Nolan trilogy he so loved is now defamed. What say yee? Are you a FBMF (former Bat Man Fan) now too?

Hollywood will be Hollywood. But, I do expect that this balderdash will fall sooner than later. I feel it in my bones. And as soon as Cr-egg leaves the franchise as it will result in a flop, and now the old school style actioners getting reborn, the cinema will be cinema, again, not some auteur crap.

Oh, by the way, since the Classic Bond is gone, we still have a few spies to follow. Has anyone forgot the old and serious OSS 117 with the very much Bondian elements with Fredrick Stafford and John Gavin? Here's a revival of the classic series that I wish in one of these days will become a reality, starring Jon Hamm as OSS 117.

Anyone will make an argument for any actor in any role no matter what. Daniel proved it, also I can not recall the last time an actor was criticize as being wrong for a part by their peers on either side of the camera.

Not having read what Den of Geek had to said I'll say this while I don't see Affleck as a Bruce Wayne/Batman after Michael Keaton hacked up the role I don't know if the audiences should complain about Affleck. He at least is more appropriate than most of the men cast, maybe not the best choice at least it is not a Craig sooooooo wrong for the part situation.

I'm still the Batfreak, Ben Affleck or not. As much as I love TDK Trilogy (with Rises as my personal favorite movie of all time), the true Batman will always be Batman: TAS as far as on-screen adaptations are concerned. No live-action superhero film will ever be perfect. Hey, even MCU film are not perfect, but they seem to be on the right track a little more than DC is now. If you want proper live-action comic book adaptation, put them on TV then work your way up to the big screen.

Affleck's casting is probably not the most exciting (it looks like Warners wanted to play it safe and get a name) but he has clawed back a lot of credibility in recent years and is a Bruce Wayne-ish type in terms of looks. Somewhat interesting and surprising too that he's taking the part after swearing off superheroes roles (he said he found Daredevil a humiliating experience) and carving out a brand new career as a respected director. It is obvious though that DC and Warners are just making this all up as they go along and don't have a long term Marvel style plan.

Dare Devil should not be Batman! Affleck sucks! I hope all the outrage works just to put fans back in the drivers seats of these movies. The only way this is good is if it's a calculate stunt to bring back Bale.

You said a mouthful big O. Affleck is a horrendous choice, almost as bad as Cr-egg is as Bond and just as bad as Clooney was to his film.

This is bad FBF, very bad for the Superman/Justice League's future. The Avengers will bury this at the box office. I would take a Ruffalo Hulk film over an Affleck Bat Man flick any day.

Nothing against BA he'd be better suited as the director. Was on the fence then I remembered DD IMO at times he has a almost whiny voice that Batman shouldn't have.

Affleck would actually be a better choice to direct the Justice League film than Snyder I think. Regarding the new Batman, Nolan apparently recommended Wes Bentley for the part.

Deadline kind of mentions us bitching about the petitions against Affleck.

IMO more people care about Batman than ever cared about Bond, and as everyone has said we've already seen him in a mask playing the hero. If he not good enough to reboot dare devil he's not good enough for Batman.
It's not like he is a big enough name to justify the choice.
