The Last Movie You Watched

Just watched this last night, and I really d**n enjoyed it. You just can't turn your back to Statham. And plus, the movie is a Stath-ified adaptation of a Richard Stark novel Flashfire. It wasn't that classical, but I enjoyed it.

Watched this today enjoyable, a standard Statham movie.

Jason Statham rocks in any movie! The man knows how to play hero!

I Like statham, just saying Parker is a basic Statham action movie, the criminal with a Code of conduct fights for the principal of it.
Statham is a likeable guy on screen, everything he is in is usually better because of him kind of the way Connery could take crap movie and raise them above the b movie grade.

Exactly, much like how Diamonds Are Forever was crap, but was good only because of Connery's presence. I agree with you about The Stath, he has the old fashioned action hero loo, no wonder why Sly hired him for Expendables.

Even the great Peter Sellers was defeated by the Texan accent. He was supposed to add the role of General "King" Kong to the three parts he already played in Dr Strangelove, but couldn't get the accent up to his impeccably high standards, so the part went to Slim Pickens instead.

Give a big thumbs up and five stars to animation "Hotel Transylvania" .. if you're tired of certain movie franchise that displays no wit, without a likable hero, boring plot, SEE HT! It's about Dracula as a loving dad with a teenage daughter, who's turning 118. Adam Sadler as a great Drac. Kidz of all ages like it.

Just watched this. They were trying very hard to imitate The A-Team, but it wasn't bad movie either. I must admit that the best thing about the movie was Zoe Saldana. Her performance in here is a lot better than what she did in Colombiana.

True with that. But, again, it's not a success that it ends up being, you know? An American may get used to British accent, but a Brit can't do a Southern Texas accent.

Just watched Inglourious Basterds on TV and I can see why so many people want Fassbender for Bond. His performance had that Cary Grant/Richard Burton/James Mason quality that Fleming wanted for Bond. But my feeling is that he would work better in a Tarantino-directed period piece than in a modern Bond film. He's more Fleming's Bond than the Egg will ever be, but I'm not convinced modern audiences actually want Fleming's Bond, however much they say they do.

But, cast him alongside Pierce Brosnan in a brand new spy film set in the 1960s (over-the-top adventure, not realistic/down-the-earth crap), then it would be d**n awesome! Such as Brosnan is a retired spy, and trains his descendant to be the next superspy succeeding him and replacing his title, then it would be a movie I'd pay to watch.

What about something like Mark Millar's Secret Service?

Very good spot, FBF. I was referring to Mark Millar's Secret Service as you noticed. But, unfortunately, the role of the senior superspy is given to Colin Firth, such a shame. But, it would be awesome if they do something like that with Brosnan. Perhaps when November Man ends up being a huge success both critically and commercially, then Matthew Vaughn would reconsider recasting Brosnan in the lead. Who knows?

Yes, I did mention Secret Service is dark, gritty, violent and yet over-the-top adventure. I have all the six issues. You should try them, FBF. It's awesome.

So far, what do you think, FBF? It's literally awesome in my opinion, and I would love to see Matthew Vaughn doing the spy flick. But, one thing is wrong with the production status is that they've cast Colin Firth. He hasn't got what it takes to be a superspy. Uncle Jack, Gary's uncle and mentor AND the main superspy resembles Jason Isaacs a lot. Why not recast him? However, it's rumoured that Leonardo DiCaprio might be the main antagonist.
