I forget about the Time Bandits - great film.

I watched 1984 recently and read that Connery was considered for the part of Winston Smith (which John Hurt played). I can't imagine him playing such a grim part.

I really like the heist film Entrapment (1999) with Connery and beautiful Catherine Zeta-Jones.

This film is better and more Bond like than all of the recent Bonds.

Not in any order: The Wind and the Lion (although after recently discovering the very dark side of Teddy Roosevelt makes me cringe). The Hunt for Red October (SC had a nice toupee and beard). Indiana Jones (gets to slap Harrison Ford, which would have been funny in Star Wars). (If you look at the first Star Wars one can imagine that it's Connery in the Vader suit, the way he moves, his head bent down, when he turns his head his whole body follows -- an acting 'trick' that SC used to great effect.) The Anderson Tapes (he moves very Bondian in this one). The Rock (he gets to say, "Of Her Majesty's S-A-S").
