Anybody bought the updated Bond dvds? If so, is there is any mentions and/or features of DC's Bond shown in the special features? As you all know, I would not buy ANYTHING that has special features that mentions or shows DC's mug.

I concur. Awful covert art and nothing can beat the feel of a real book. I read a lot of ebooks after receiving a device, in this case a real Ian Fleming book in your hand can not be topped.

I don't think so, I have the 2006 UE DVDs and I think these are the same reissued for 2012. Rent one to be sure.

Thank you. I think the smell of a new book, or spending hours looking through a 2nd hand book shop (something I love doing), finding books you didn't expect, can not be beaten. I loathe all these electronic book pads... whatever they're called.

I have boxes of books I don't have the shelf space to display. Second handbook dealers know me by sight. Used to buy every 007 book I'd come across.

The ereader I got is decent enough for more modern books I suppose, it is handy to have hundred of books in such a small package, for me the real thing can not be beat.

Some say the digital format will be the standard in the future, but I don't see how. When it comes to movies, music, books, or video games, I think it's always best to have a solid copy.

It's also easier to steal. But traditional hard drives will all fail eventually. Most digital providers will allow content to be redownloaded but there is no guarantee and even then they can go out of business.

I bought the bond movies on bluray because I want to have a copy in the future I can get digital copies but the real deal has so much better Audio and. Video.

BTW FBF I haven't seen on thing about Craig in the blus I have gone through so far.

Oscars 2013: Pierce Brosnan To Miss James Bond Tribute?
http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/02 ... 76428.html
Asked about the reunion while doing his shopping in Malibu, Brosnan laughed: "Well, they'll be missing one."

Asked if it would be him, the 59-year-old Irish actor just shrugged.

Since 1962, the dashing MI5 spy, created by writer Ian Fleming, has been played by Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Brosnan and Daniel Craig.

Brosnan played Bond for four films between 1995 and 2002, before handing over to Craig.

Original Bond Sir Sean Connery is 82 and in 2011 announced his retirement from making public appearances.

Australian actor Lazenby, 73, played Bond for one film in 1969, only to be dropped when Connery returned to the role in 1971.

If everyone else can bring themselves to be at the Oscars, including Connery, and Brosnan is the only one who doesn't, he will look very bad. Despite what went on before with EON, he never had any greivance with them like Connery did, and Bond made Brosnan a movie star.

It will be truly shameful if he doesn't turn up, but I don't think he will snub the Oscars. If anyone will, it will be Connery.

He may be talking about Connery. I saw the video and didn't get the impression TMZ was trying to make.

I do agree I rather Pierce be the bigger man in situation like this. Connery is old enough and a big enough icon to do as he pleases without concern.

It's Connery. Given the man's well-known grievances with the elder Broccoli and his refusal to participate in any EON-related Bond Anniversary Events, it's very likely that Connery wouldn't want to give any of Cubby's heirs the satisfaction of having "won" by luring The Original Cinematic James Bond into giving HIS Official Seal of Approval for her mumbling pet Craig just by showing up.

Eh? Connery wouldn't be going on stage to give Craig the thumbs up for Babs, and you know that. It is to celebrate 50 years of Bond at the cinema for the Oscars, nothing more.

Besides which, hasn't Connery already given Craig the thumbs up before anyway?

He said Craig is ok, a good actor, defending a fellow actor is different than going a stage to celebrate a franchise and family he feel screwed him out money.

On story about Brosnan said his body language made it clear ,come on he was jumped by paparazzi of course his body language was hostile. Can't wait for the paparazzi to get drones , thank you government ! ;)

The Skyfall train. Really.

Image

Actually, the fact that it's advertising SF is the least of my objections to this. I hate even travelling on local buses that are covered in this sort of wraparound advertising. The windows are darkened and you can't really see where you are. Imagine travelling from, say, London to Edinburgh like that. And it comes hot on the heels of the news that Boris Johnson has removed the ban on billboards along the banks of the River Thames. Soon, there will be nowhere free of advertising. I can imagine the Judge Dredd story about adverts being projected onto the moon coming true eventually.

Bond villain Steven Berkoff, 75, banned from the road

Bond villain Steven Berkoff, 75, banned from the road for jumping red light

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... irens.html
James Bond villain Steven Berkoff has been banned from driving after jumping a red light, despite maintaining he was trying to get out of the way of a police car.

The veteran actor, writer and director, 75, who played General Orlov in Octopussy alongside Roger Moore, said he had not meant to break the law.

In a letter read out at City of London Magistrates' Court he claimed while driving his VW Beetle through Central London: 'I heard a siren in the near distance and turned to get out of its way.'

But he still pleaded guilty to failing to comply with traffic signals on October 25 last year, earning himself a six-month ban from driving.

Berkoff, who has been caught speeding twice in the last two years and ran another red light in March 2012, already had nine points on his licence.

He was handed three more points today, leading to automatic disqualification.

'Mr Berkoff was driving a Volkswagen Beetle motor vehicle in Upper Thames Street, at the junction with Queen Street Place', said prosecutor Varinder Hayre.

'He crossed the stop line when the light had been red for 1.5 seconds, and he was at a speed of 27mph.

'The police did not offer an immediate conditional offer due to the time the lights had been red.'

Berkoff, star of movies including Beverley Hill Cop and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, initially gave the court his Californian driving licence number, but checks showed he also holds a UK licence.

Twilight’s Robert Pattinson Tipped as “Next 007” by Craig?

Post by Goldeneye »

http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/436674/2 ... SO-sGdn1yB
A source told OK! Magazine, that Craig, who had just recently inked two more Bond films, said that Robert Pattinson “could make a brilliant Bond.” Craig reportedly added that he “would like to see a talented British actor to take on the elusive, yet a very huge role for the box-office hit.

"Rob’s a monumental fan of Daniel’s and told him so, but he was completely taken aback when the compliments were returned," Craig was quoted as saying by the source in an interview ith OK! Magazine, said sofeminine.co.uk.

The Skyfall star has then been revealed as a great fan of Robert. The report also said that Rob earned Craig’s respect especially the manner by which Rob handled the cheating scandal his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart has embroiled herself into in summer last year.

"Daniel really admires how Robert has handled the intense scrutiny of his personal life - he and Rachel are obsessively private, “ the source said.

He added: "He really felt for Rob when Kristen Stewart’s cheating played out in the media. To go through that, but also maintain a level of professionalism and carry on working, shows amazing strength of character."
