Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I would like to see Sean Connery just for once with the other Bond actors......
..i know he has had issues with the producers, but then again to some extent havnt one or two of the other Bond actors?
I think that Connery's resentment is due to the fact he feels that he was obviously a main contributor to the success of the series, but had to fight constantly with the producers to get what he reckoned was a suitable salary for each film, but i think it was the fact that he was never made a partner in the series, as was suggested by director Terence Young to Saltzman and Broccoli, and therefore didnt have any control on the series!
His bitterness to the producers is obviously still there even today!

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I cant believe it...............after all these years there is something i dont agree with what 'The Sweeney' has said
Well over on the 'MI6' site, the 'SF' fans there have been going ecstatic believing that 'SF' is now the biggest Bond film of all time, surpassing 'TB'.
This apparently came about because one of the members there found an inflation adjusted chart on the Bond series, which skewered to lower box office figures..........this one list somehow became the holy grail on that site, and the herd mentality there took it to there hearts as if favoured SF.
There were one or two othere there who disagreed with this, but were given the cold shoulder.
Then there was this person, who joined in the discussion, and told them they needed to take in figures that other respectable sources had researced into, and showed that SF has not overtaken TB as the biggest Bond of all time, and is in fact still behind 'GF'............unfortuanately this person got attacked by a pack of wolves there.......but they have somewhat dissapeared since the figures have been shown on their site.
I wonder who this person is?
Anyway, the true fact is no one will ever know which is the most successful Bond film of alltime, and does it matter.........as long as the series continues!
Wait for the Chinese BO for SF before celebrating.............Sweeney!

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I was trying to find out what was a BIG movie back in the 60s, I didn't do to well because most places only account for domestic. From Russia with love and GF are close nearly taking the top spot of their years too. I think Sound of Music was the biggest film of the 1960s
Above and beyond anything we have to say attendance for TB was tremendous, 166 million if I have the number correct.
I'm not sure what year this was done (Done BY AMC Film site) but if TB did $600 million adjusted then it is $1.33 billion movie. I'm not sure what numbers Mazer had give us. I do consider BO MOJO way off but even they are closer than that other number being used.

This was the only Bond film in which all nine 00- agents appeared together in London, England, where M summoned them to a briefing about SPECTRE's plot.
Molly Peters (as Patricia Fearing) was the first Bond girl to appear nude (in silhouette) - in the steambath scene. And Martine Beswick, as Paula Caplan was the first Bond girl to appear in two Bond girls as different characters (she was fighting gypsy girl Zora in From Russia With Love (1963)).
With an Academy Award win, the second (and last win, to date) for Best Special Visual Effects.
With a production budget of $9 million, and gross revenue of $63.6 million (domestic) and $141 million (worldwide).
Thunderball had the highest domestic box-office earnings of the Bond films (to date) - when adjusted for inflation. Its domestic unadjusted gross of $63.6 million was $600 million when adjusted. Goldfinger (1964) was a distant second with $51 million (and $531.7 million adjusted).

The people over at MI6 think a lot of things..doesn't mean they're right. This is the same website that wants to thank Babs for making Skyfall. Need I say anymore?

Golden Goblin awards not watchable. A bunch of self-absorbed morons with limited IQs. I'd rather watch Chyna at the WWE.

She is nasty and disgusting. But I rather watch her than these American Award shows. SAG Awards has been infected by a DC Virus. The Golden Globes and the Oscars are the new victim. What's next? MTV Movie Awards? Teen Choice Awards?bjmdds wrote:I'd rather watch Chyna at the WWE.

How is liking SF equated to a virus, FormerBondFan? I don't like the Star Trek reboot but I'm not getting bent out of shape over people actually liking it. The Craig films are not your kind of Bond films, fine, doesn't meant the whole world has gone mad.

Chyna would make a interesting Bond Villain..she's so...mannish. Seriously, do a Yahoo photo search with the filter off at your own peril.

MP nailed it. Chyna as the next transexual Bond assassin in The Property Of The Green Vegetable.

LOL yup.. I won't elaborate but I do wonder if she's all woman from some of the things I've heard about her.

If you want to make James Bond into a female, she is the one.bjmdds wrote:MP nailed it. Chyna as the next transexual Bond assassin in The Property Of The Green Vegetable.

That's one of the more mannish looking pictures of her(though those are a dime a dozen). I'm not gonna judge if she's a shim...matter of fact, I think she knows people think that, and she just doesn't care.

The nastiest thing about Chyna is that she's now a porn star.

Yikes! She has better defined arms than Craig, hell any of the Bonds.
Not sure what she is supposed to be, got no ill will towards her she'd be a hall of a henchma...woman.
Problem with Craig is he is such a small build she make him look like Micky Rooney

I think only Adele picked up a golden globe. I think she is the draw, the song is not the best movie song of 2012and not the best bond song ever.
Anyone know if the feb 12th blu ray will include ultraviolet?

I didn't know Skyfall was coming out that soon..that is very quick. Granted, there are still a few movie theaters still showing it but it's only once or twice a day.
