Ale has disappeared from sight. I am sure she is devastated after learning from Sweeney and his sources that DC will remain as Bond until he is 87 years old and Bond 23 will outdo Titanic at the box office and Henry Cavill will never be Bond. Rest assured she will somehow return to our lair but for now, pay her a fond adieu, and blame Eon for this.

Based on what you said, we may have to send in the freaks whether DC leaves after Bond 23 or not. For someone is who not Bond yet his third Bond being his highest grossing Bond (even in the US) is totally not normal.bjmdds wrote:Sweeney has this film doing TDK numbersOmega wrote:Open as high as TwilightJermaine76 wrote:He must be crazy. Here in the USA DC is not liked at all. His films are all bombs and his Bond look is dreadful and hideous. Overseas tastes are obviously different and that I can no longer account for since Garfield did way too high an overseas box office for that pile of spider waste he spun. It was embarrassing that any society would spend money to see such garbage and equally appalling that Danielle Cr-egg is deemed worthy of anything in Hollywood. It speaks volumes to this decaying culture around us to have a classless dolt be the James Bond ambassador but we all know the reason it occurred.

Now I'm not saying all Craig fans are like that. There are open-minded Craig fans, such as Sweeney, who see the faults in things like tinkering or removing traditional Bond elements, and who don't agree with every decision the producers make. But there are quite a few new fans that don't care or understand what made Bond so popular in the first place. And as I said before, because the fan base has been split in two, the producers are going to have a very difficult time with pleasing both audiences. But by the looks of it, It seems they rather just cater to the new audience than the old one.
Its all about the money. The newer, A.D.D./Bourne-influenced crowd is who they're catering too. Skyfall will be no different...you can see it in the trailer.

"James and Q's realtionship provides material for many a giggle, with Ben Wishaw's deadpan representation of the gadget-man hitting just the right note during tension-filled moments. The film's villian also generates many a laugh - particularly the part where he appears to come on to James. Well, he is only human after all. This is actually one of the more emotional Bond films that we've seen - there's no master plan to destroy the world or a laser beam threatening to blow up the moon, but the plot focuses on revenge and personal vendettas - which makes for a fair few tear-jerking moments." THIS is what a 21st century Bond is all about?

What about Marilyn Manson as Bond, BJ? He's younger and can last longer in the role than George is.bjmdds wrote:"James and Q's realtionship provides material for many a giggle, with Ben Wishaw's deadpan representation of the gadget-man hitting just the right note during tension-filled moments. Guys, read this review
Finally someone with a brain
He sums up exactly what we here already knew
http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/352 ... fall-12A-/ "JAMES BOND is celebrating 50 years on the big screen, but the world’s favourite secret agent seems to be running out of puff."............."More than any other Bond movie Skyfall makes a great play of Bond’s advancing years, as Daniel Craig’s occasionally rather gaunt looking 007 exudes a feeling of exhaustion and ennui with his job. Hot encounters with glamorous ladies? Here it looks as though 007 hardly has the stamina, enjoying only one brief clinch in a shower with Berenice Marlohe’s lovely Severine."......"The emphasis on personal dramas and intrigues results in some terrific exchanges, enhanced by perhaps the strongest cast ever assembled for a Bond movie. Yet it detracts from the film’s purpose as an action-thriller, gradually sapping momentum and suspense from the storyline."..........."It starts with a thrilling bang and a spectacular pre-title sequence in Istanbul (one of the top five openings for a Bond film) but gradually reduces to a small scale, low-key, seriously misjudged climax in an isolated Scottish house where little is at stake.
The desire for emotional intensity is undermined by some ill-judged quips and rather preposterous oldie action as Dench and Albert Finney’s ageing family gamekeeper let rip with grenades and firearms. Skyfall is still a vast improvement on Quantum Of Solace, but it’s no Casino Royale."...............leave it to me to find the TRUTH about this garbage film as opposed to Sweeney's overzealous attempt to have us here all believe in this ridiculous notion that Bond 23 is a billion dollar baby

But if Bond 23 still manages to beat CR's worldwide $594 million and/or QOS' US $168 million even by a penny and/or receives nomination(s) from big American movie awards, the avatars will still be needed.bjmdds wrote:FBF, the avatars may not be required after reading this reviewTrust my instincts on this.......this critic nailed it perfectly

After the opening sequence, this film reeks of weird boredom and depression.........only Hollywood elites love that junk.......NOT the true escapism-minded Bond fans. Just picture Dame Dench with grenades and machine guns as is done in this film

I wish we have Hellboy 3 this year. If it was already made for this year, it would most likely release this November.bjmdds wrote:After the opening sequence, this film reeks of weird boredom and depression.........only Hollywood elites love that junk.......NOT the true escapism-minded Bond fans.

And how can this review be trusted either, as it loves CR so much? Surely that is not a decent Bond film to compare it with either.....?

The only facts right now is Rotten Tomatoes 100% score, and Graham Rye's 10/10 score.bjmdds wrote:After the opening sequence, this film reeks of weird boredom and depression.........only Hollywood elites love that junk.......NOT the true escapism-minded Bond fans. Had this been the othe way round, and RT was showing a score of 10%, and Graham Rye scoring this 1/10, you would be singing and shouting from the rooftops with glee about this fact. As its the other way round you are completely ignoring these facts, and focusing everything on one review by the Daily Express as the only truth out there.....?

I know, and I expect that number to obviously come down once more reviews come in, and I still take all these reviews with a pinch of salt (even BJ's much loved Express review).Blowfeld wrote:100% on RT is easy right now
The only one of any note to me is really Graham Rye's, as he does know his subject of Bond far more than any of these hacks writing for tabloids (including BJ's much-loved Express review).

Very interesting Skyfall review in the Express. Also is Craig supposed to be an older agent in this one? The rookie angle has been ditched as Craig looks about 70.

Bring back Bond!

I think he's taking Bond's undoubted popularity in the UK and projecting it on a global scale. If Bond was as popular everywhere as he is in Britain, SF would have no problem breaking the $1 billion barrier. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The review I showed makes sense based on everything we knew about this film leading up to it's release. The critic does say it is better than QOS;however, he finds it lacking to CR, and he points out SPECIFIC CELLULOID FILM scenes which back up his review, not the Mendes pre-paid lovefests you find that mention ridiculous OSCAR nominations yet give NO specificity to their claims, just over admiring admiration for a film with great actors, great dialogue, etc. Tell me Sweeney, and I am serious. Do YOU personally accept a film as being Bond with a sniper gun firing future Moneypenny, who is wrongly cast in looks, a grenade throwing and machine gun toting Dame Dench as M, a yellow haired homosexual villain who molests Bond's body and has computer skills and is in love with Bond but hates his motherly M, a child as Q with no gadgets, only computer tech skills, a film described by YOUR reviews as being FOREIGN to Fleming, and the master of all louses as Bond in a depressed state drinking beer and being shaved by Moneypenny in a plot stolen as well from other franchises and even GE with the villain wanting to destroy the UK computer systems? I think not. NO way this does $300 million in the USA as Twilight did and will. Enjoy it in the UK. I personally think people will find this film disturbing after the opening 20 minute chase scenes which then leads to long soliloquies by miscast actors. You will love it and praise it. NO doubt in my mind; however, as you did with CR, you will digest it and realize even to you it was not what you originally thought it was. I see ZERO FUN in this film. How can there be? Cr-egg is in it, the downer of downers who exists in his little film world of depressed and boring plots. The Sweeney wrote:I know, and I expect that number to obviously come down once more reviews come in, and I still take all these reviews with a pinch of salt (even BJ's much loved Express review).Blowfeld wrote:100% on RT is easy right now

I don't doubt in the UK its going to be big, one guy is predicting it will be the biggest in the UK this year, he's got a shot at being right because if it does what it did (in the UK) in 2008 it'll be close or ahead.Kristatos wrote:I think he's taking Bond's undoubted popularity in the UK and projecting it on a global scale. In the USA its a whole other country

The opening weekend in will be key I am waffling on if it can beat QOS, right now I don't think so mostly because the free tickets will be for those rebuying CR and QOS being re-released next week. If they had put free ticket in all the classic bond and Bond 50 sets they would get maybe 100,000 tickets ready to be used by people who are Bond fans, I think this would boost the opening weekend, then again they could go the digital rout offering free tickets to those who buy the movie in on xbox live and PSN, but it didn't work for Bourne or Total recall.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
got to. its $10 to $8 towards the ticket price I think this is partly why QoS had a big weekend then fell off a cliff. those free tickets were everywhere, since they missed putting them in the Bond 50 maybe because those buyer would be less interested in the new Bond, the other possibility is any new fox sony movie they could put a free ticket in it, but I don't see anything really big coming down the line before its released.bjmdds wrote:Free tickets?
