Next Bond not classically handsome?

Post by carl stromberg »

Let's face it, Daniel Craig is a little too short and odd-looking to be Bond and miles away from the tall, handsome "stereotype" of Bond. But people seemed to welcome him because of this, and enjoyed the fact that James Bond has metamorphisised into some mad-looking thug.

Does this mean that the paradigm for how Bond looks has now been changed, and the next Bond after Craig will be another person you would not expect to play Bond?

Or will people be bored with Craig's Bond and want some 6'2 handsome Bond with black hair?

Studios latch onto trends and what they perchive to be in-vogue. Bond has gone Bourne/Bauer. More of an everyman character. Hopefully it'll come full circle and we'll get a more Bondian Bond next time around.

As much as I saw a similarity between DC's performance in CR and the Bourne/Bauer character's in terms of roguish attitude, it had never clicked that they share the same hairstyle.

Is this just a coincidence or was it structured that way. 8)

I wont face it because, in my opinion, it isn't true. He's still tall and handsom. Maybe not model handsom like Brosnan, but still very handsom.

I'd hardly call him short. He's only 2 inches shorter than Brosnan.

Or they've finally got an actor in the role, who has a better range than we've had in the last four films

Does this mean that the paradigm for how Bond looks has now been changed, and the next Bond after Craig will be another person you would not expect to play Bond?
Well no one expected Craig to win the role, so I'd say the next actor will be unexpected
Or will people be bored with Craig's Bond and want some 6'2 handsome Bond with black hair?
Well handsome is a matter of opinion. As for being 6'2, well if Bond has to be this height (in your opinion) only *Connery, *Lazenby and *Dalton are worthy to play Bond.
*According to the profiles listed on imdb.

Seeing as Barbara Broccoli wanted Sean Bean and cast Daniel Craig, I think she may go for another bizarre choice if she gets to choose another Bond.

Let's hope she doesn't go with......

Even I would turn against Eon if they tried that one.
By the way, the next Bond will be this man.
Clicky
I know you're happy with that choice.

Hopefully a tall handsome man with black hair and a bit of charisma will be chosen to banish those painful memories of the nightmare that was....Casino Royale.
Bring back Bond!
