Spiderman 3 is doing quite well, even though I totally agree is was not a good storyline. Superman III turned the hero into an idiot and it bombed. Spiderman III tried to downplay Parker and Watson's relationship, and it did not come off well. Every flop should do as well as Spidey 3 at the box office, right?

Actually, Superman III didn't flop and was successful enough at the BO but it was a far cry from what the first two made. Same story with Batman Forever and X-Men 3. All third movies successful, yet a nosedive on quality of the first two.

Yet, the third film in the Bond saga was a gem! It shows Hollywood how tough it is, never mind to make three quality films in a series, but over 20! Reeve regretted what Superman III turned out. The problem is, he never should have attempted correction with Superman IV which was not watchable, IMO.

There are certainly a few poor trilogy's out there. T3 is a prime example of let's try and ruin a successful franchise.

I think of those pictured, Honor Blackman and Jill St.John look the best.

You mean being the husband of Jill St.John and in the past being married to the late Natalie Wood who is the sister of Lana Wood who also played a Bond girl. Coincidentaly in Diamonds Are Forever with Jill St.John.
He was also I believe a great friend of Cubby Broccoli.

It has been mentioned many times that Eva Green was far too young looking to play Vesper Lynd when paired up with Craig's Bond. Now, SHE states the obvious. http://www.exposay.com/eva-green-says-c ... dy/v/8111/ Out of her own mouth comes her judgment. I did not feel she brought anything to the table, and her referring to Craig as a 'nice daddy' reminds me of Bouquet's remarks about Roger Moore being too old to be her love interest in FYEO. If Green saw this, why didn't Eon?

I think this is taken out of context. She says he treated her like a gentleman and was very paternal and reassuring on the set.
That's not what she is saying about there respective roles in the film.
Although she is 12 years Craigs junior, doesn't mean they couldn't have a relationship together. We all know who the other Bond contenders were (second choice Cavill would've needed an 18 year old Vesper to play opposite ) but who else was in the runnning to play Vesper? Not the press speculated actresses, but who Eon had in mind. Does anyone know? If there was a better actress, who was closer to Craigs age, then I might think twice, but I like Eva Green as Vesper. I thought both she and Craig worked well together.

Who do you feel was 'THE' 'best matched' love interest in all of the Bond films? Bond/Octopussy? Bond/Galore? Bond/Romanova? Another pairing?

And regarding the age difference between DC and Eva, 12 years isn't such a big deal. Many times before there have been a younger woman and a more mature Bond and it has worked just fine.

But since Eva looks 15 and DC at least 45, the age difference is perhaps an issue here

That photo explains Green's statement about Craig. He sure does look a LOT older than her, maybe not the 30 year difference between Moore/Bouquet, but enough to make one question the casting choice. I also agree that Bond/Domino in TB,NOT NSNA, was the best pairing.

I've always felt Sir Rog to be very convincing when dealing with the ladies. Even though he looks old, he still has a touch of class that made the huge age differences not seem as big of an issue as perhaps they could have been.

I agree Kris, AVTAK should have utilized a new Bond. Eon overextended Moore there, yet Moore worked well with Adams in Octopussy 2 years earlier.

I think in OP Moore looked too old. He looked too old in FYEO, when really we should have had a new Bond back then.
