I've read that Roger Moore has even tried to help smooth things out between Sean Connery and Albert Broccoli years ago, but I guess it didn't help. I've always found Connery to be less enthusiastic about the Bond series compared to Moore, though.

I watched the Piers Morgan interview with Moore last night. Moore as usual was excellent, top form, extremely likable.
It's also noticable how much praise he has over Daniel Craig as Bond. He practically gushes whenever his name is mentioned. Morgan asked who would win in a fight between all the Bonds, and Moore said it would be Craig or Connery, with Craig coming out on top.
Even Morgan noticed how much Moore likes Craig as Bond, when he was questioning him.

Like him or loathe him, Craig does have his fans, not just fellow actors and former Bond stars, but many of the general public too. I appreciate everyone here hates him as Bond, but he does have his followers too (one look at all the other Bond and film sites out there tells you this), and I think Craig will be around for another film at least.bjmdds wrote:His pacemaker must have been sending clots to his brain I guess to talk so foolishly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpdZqx5-vJg
Journalists in movie and fashion magazines very rarely say anything bad about him these days, instead comparing him as the best Bond since Connery. Read into that what you will, that Babs has influence in high places, she pays off journo's, they are all just EON stooges, whatever.
Either way, the perception and image of Bond for this decade is now morphed into Daniel Craig, like it or not. Come Bond 24, starring Craig again as 007, and he is suddenly on par with Brozza for amount of Bond films made. If he does Bond 25 too, the old traditional cinematic screen image of Bond could be gone forever.

The IMAX release of SKYFALL will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie. http://www.flicksandbits.com/wp-content ... allory.jpg Another actor gets his own banner in a Bond film?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Craig's hair is waaaay too short. I like him as 007, but I am hating the look they've given him in this film. I noticed it months ago, and now with the new promo posters coming out, it is becoming glaringly obvious I was right. His hair is just too short for Bond.bjmdds wrote:.......and with that Sweeney, the end is nowThe IMAX release of SKYFALL will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The hair colour is wrong, and the style of the hair is wrong. Babs & co. haven't got a bloody clue!!!

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I'm so not surprised they're putting Spyfail out in IMAX. Waste of money because where I live, it's already expensive to see a movie, and they tack on a fee(usually $8-10) to see it in IMAX. I can't imagine-if word about it gets out-and it will-that anyone will want to pay that much money.

Once again, Craig looks like he's posing for a prison photo in that poster. Would it kill him to smile? As for Roger Moore praising Craig, even though I don't share his opinion, it still doesn't change the fact that I think Moore is awesome. And I have seen another interview where I believe he says that he still thinks Sean Connery is the best Bond.
While I don't care for Craig's portrayal of Bond, the majority of my hostility is towards the producers. Barbara and Michael have basically sent the message that they don't care about classic Bond fans with this current direction. Everything that I loved about Bond, and what made me a fan of the series has been abandoned. I've been a fan of Bond since I was around five or six. I used to watch the films whenever they came on television, Goldfinger was always one of my favourites. Over the years, I've spent tons of money on various James Bond memorabilia, and have been a very loyal fan of the series. Now years later, the producers reject fans like myself so can reinvent the series in their own vision, and feel like artistically creative geniuses.
I would love to ask Barbara and Michael why do they hate fans like me so much? What did we ever do to you?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Roger of all the 007 actors is a gentleman. He may genuinely adore Daniel, however part of his gushing praise I feel comes from the fact the media, then us dared to criticize the darling up and coming actor Daniel. Roger felt stung by criticism of his acting and his movies. 1987 the press had a fun saying the new Bond shouldn't be worse than Roger, so Roger dives in to defend any Bond from harsh words, he did it for Timothy and Pierce. I really think he felt burned by (some) fans and critics. It may be he like Daniel less so over compensates. Pierce defends Daniel as well and we know he doesn't feel okay about what was done to him, so much so he has never watched the rebbot movies. The Sweeney wrote:I watched the Piers Morgan interview with Moore last night. Bond VS Bond, do the mean the men or the characters. Of course Daniel is the only "Bond" who'd beat up a 80 year old man.

Of the physicality of the actors George Lazenby in his prime would be my bet. On the other hand ranking only the Bonds far as skill, in fight of the characters I don't think Daniel's would be in the top 3 just from inexperience. In a push-up face off he'd win, in a fight requiring cunning well you know the rest

I do not like Daniel Crag but even I have to admit he must have a few fans as millions have been spent making THREE Craig "Bond" films- so there must be a few misguided fools who enjoy his awful Bonds. The Sweeney wrote:Like him or loathe him, Craig does have his fans, not just fellow actors and former Bond stars, but many of the general public too. It's sad that lots of people - particularly young people - now think that Craig;'s fake Bond is Bond. They would probably be shocked if someone made a traditional Bond film with a handsome actor playing Bond.

MI5 and Indy 5 all the way. Speaking of our friend Indy, I hope Harry will be putting in himself shape again like the last time. Lucas said Indy 5 will be the last so I hope it ends up in a high note. Considering the next Indy will take place in the 60s, I'm assuming it will be like a James Bond movie.
As for Total Recall remake, those who did this learn nothing from Conan The Barbarian remake. Furthermore, I have a friend from FB who said this last year: "Remaking Arnold movie without Arnold in them: F*CK you Hollywood!"

*sigh* a new show is on tonight in House's time spot. The Mob Doctor. Looks awful.I predict it'll be cancelled very quickly.
