Review: From Russia with Love

Post by Count_Lippe »

The second Bond movie is just as good as the first one, but a little different. It's more of a straight spy story, without any high-tech sets or super villians.

Plenty of interesting characters and the cast is brilliant! Wonderful score, beautiful title sequence, and some very Bondian locations!

Director Terence Young also injected a little more humour in this film which works very nicely. For example the scenes with Sylvia Trench or when Tatiana explains how the Lektor is constructed are funny!

There is more action in this film, and the fight between Bond and Grant on the orient express is an absolute classic!

All in all one of the best 007 movies ever made!

Classic indeed. It just has the best a Bond film could offer. I've already expressed my feelings on why I think this is the most superior of all Bonds so I will just make it plain and simple here.

I love this movie. it is a great example of a second film in the series being better than the first, which rarely happens these days.
