Well the news on Skyfall is now more available on the UK media network.

Interesting to hear from MGW that he expects SF to be a longer film than QOS and also not to have a rough cut edit wise.
Basically IMHO that translates to the film being edited properly, unlike QOS which looked liked it had been edited by a pair of deranged baboons.

Personally, i dont know how SF will turn out, but i think it will be a good film.

Regarding Craig...........i think the look he has been given for the film is not very flatttering....i wonder whose idea was that?

In yersterday's SUN newspaper there was a shot of Bond involved in an underwater tussle with an assailant, being strangled from behind............i thought that the assailant was possibly 'BJ' who had finally cracked! :D

Is it just me or Josh Brolin looks like Pierce in MIB3?

Image

From the stills of MIB3, it looks to me that the sequel is like a mix of '60s Bond and TOS.

Yes, very Bondian...probably more Connery than Pierce.

Funny enough, his dad was also tipped to play Bond at one time.

Wonder if he may be approached to play bond sometime in the future (fingers crossed).

LOl some funny comments for skyfall trailer on yt

some men are coming to kill us. we're going to kill them first.

-.- NO s**t SHERLOCK!

the dialogue is so corny. fail.

So, this bought views?

looks like s**t,probably is s**t

The "critics" ploy is never a persuasive argument. Tho' he's not my fave, Roger Ebert called Brosnan a perfect Bond, Tarantino still says that. Means nothing really. And well, Craig's a public figure, Bond's a commercial franchise, and I've paid my tuppenny to see his films (want my money back for the 2nd). I have the right to voice my dissatisfaction. The new direction they trumpeted has delivered far less than it promised. And I'm pissed. I would love to move on but I miss Bond & I say so.

Casino Royale is world's shittest film, compared with Quantum. Skyfall is future s**t.

Boring..bring back Roger Moore!

Apparently loud noises substitute for music now...

Well this looks like a steaming pile of your Mother's s**t...

omgosh... I WORKED IN TV AND SERIOUSLY? I couldve made a better trailer! I still have no idea what its about and if u keep it like this I wont see it! Its like u made this for a 15 yo boy! YOURE SUPPOSED TO B AN ENTERTAINMENT MOGUL! My kids couldve done better editing.

What they really should do is kill 007 and put an end to the suffering of fans like myself who have watched Hollywood take all the fun out of Bond and turn it into just another dark, special effects-laden spy thriller franchise. Daniel Craig, who looks more like a Serbian terrorist than a British spy, is so effing stiff and serious that he actually has me pining for the halcyon days of Pierce Brosnan--and he sucked!

Is that them deciding on the title at the beginning ? lol Skyfall is it!

You got Bourne in my Bond!

what just happened

More bulls**t

What the hell is this generic action movie trash?

bond was never an action movie. my quintessential bond film was live and let die. its what hes about. detective work, girl, trapped with or because the girl, wins, end. whats this s**t?

SKYFALL

MY FAVORITE AIRLINE

It's "The Joker" at 1:03

it doesnt look like 007

I miss the feel of the old Bond movies!

Bond Smash! lol

I was more a true Bond fan of the movies, loved Connery, grew to love Lazenby. I was actually disappointed when they hired Roger Moore, thinking they could do no worse, but his movies were successful, However, when they hired D.C., I wanted to send Moore a letter of apology.

I like Daniel Craig as an actor but he is the 2nd worst bond only just beating out George Lazenby

They take their action heroes seriously, and you can feel their anger when you make derogatory comments. There was once a time when men wanted to BE Bond. I see this guy and I want him to fix my sink.

STUBBLE - GRUNGE

HAIRCUT - CURLY HOWARD

CLASSIC BOND - DEAD
Bond....James bond....Rest in peace (1964-2002)

Josh Brolin is the same age as Craig (not to mention being a septic), so I doubt he'd be considered. As for old man Brolin, i'm glad he never got the job with OP, as by christ he came of as wooden.

He was 43-44 in that video, same age as Daniel today. And I suppose Josh as well, thinking of him in the MIB picture.

I do like Josh as an actor. They might have CGI'ed Peirce's forehead and hair in that instance ;)

Funny is sad sort of way is (some early) reaction to the trailer quite a few hit it square on the head then veer off in to its refreshing.
Someone described it as MI6 has him ordered him to therapy.

“Some men are coming to kill us. We're gonna kill them first.” - terse irreverence towards Bond tradition

I think that is correct, it's not Fleming-esque or Bondian. It may be what action movie audiences expect. Who knows.

Josh Brolin looks very Bond-like. If Hugh Laurie can do a mid-Atlantic accent there might be hope for Josh.

Josh plays a younger counterpart of Tommy Lee Jones' role in MIB3.

Much more than his old man. He has a mix look of Sean, Rog, and Pierce in him.

I know some of you may not want to see MIB3, but I'll see it anyway. Of course, I'm a fan of MIB films (yes...including the 2nd one). More than that, the 2nd sequel seems to remind me of the '60s Bond like I said before. Plus, there's a feel of TOS in there as well.

Josh has a problem with slapping his hands and cheating on his wife so I could care less about this trash. I am sure MP and Ms. bouvier will agree with me on this one. "Actor Josh Brolin was cited for misdemeanor domestic battery over the weekend (2004) after his wife, actress Diane Lane, called police during an argument at the couple's home. Brolin, the son of actor James Brolin and stepson of Barbra Streisand, was arrested around 3 a.m. Sunday and released on $20,000 bail, Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the city attorney's office, said Monday." "Tongue has been set wagging by In Touch Weekly's (2009) just-released story which claims actor Josh Brolin has cheated on his actress wife Diane Lane while he is filming his latest big screen flick "Jonah Hex" in New Orleans. Accompanying the report is a photo that allegedly shows Josh getting cozy with a woman in what appears to be a club. Per the publication, Josh was seen partying together with a female local identified as Melissa Green at the Royal Street Inn back on May 21. After that, he was said escorting her to another location to hang out at 11:35 P.M. And the next morning, Josh and Melissa were spotted leaving the unnamed venue together at 7:23 A.M. "They left together," a source in the know told the publication. "Josh looked like he hadn't slept at all. She was wearing the same outfit as the night before and looked embarrassed."

Do you believe what this has come down to? You want it to do decent box office to save the franchise. I say, and so does FBF, soon to be also FSTF if khan is on board, let it end now if this garbage carries on with Daniela, who is now relegated to word association testing as a depressed Bond :!: Enough already :!: :!: :!: :!: I cannot take much more of this loser :!: EA, what say yee across the pond? Sweene? He looks like he's auditioning for the part of an incontinent patient running to the bathroom in a remake of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest :!: Mendes and Forster's careers are over now.
I do not believe what this has come down to, BJ! I am truly shocked by the entire contents of the trailer, mainly because like I said in my previous post, it's not even like it is a particularly good trailer for a good random action movie. It's mediocre even as a presentation of your general action movie. I've been on the "ENOUGH ALREADY" ship from the moment he was cast as Bond, but I want to have certainty that I WILL be left WITH a franchise for Henry Cavill to inherit  I don't mind a hiatus either (though frankly I'd like to see Cavill as Bond in two years), but this has really, and I mean REALLY gone overboard.

I agree with A Crag-like Face that the time for dark emotional moody action hero has passed. Superheroes are what everything's about now, and if you look at Iron Man (can't believe I'm even saying this) he has a LOT of Bond in him (And I'm not a fanatic of Robert Downey jr. at all but hey, what's true is true, his character even in the Avengers had lines, wit and attitude that were totally Bond-like). So I think that this one may actually be a colossal failure (Skyfall, that is). I don't even care honestly at this point... as long as we finally get rid of Craig BUT keep the franchise alive, I'll take anything. I just don't want to be forced to think of James Bond on a screen only to find HIM "gracing" it. I want Henry Cavill. I DEMAND Henry Cavill. He is the absolute perfect modern-age James Bond. Very classic but modern at the same time. Gorgeous, classy, good actor with solid background, leading man material, and great with the press. In short, made to be James Bond. And to think he could've been from the start of this disastrous thing...

Also, not a Brolin fan (like BJ rightly guessed). His outfit and manner look definitely Bondian in that photo but I'm sorry, man who so much as thinks of raising a hand on his wife or girlfriend? Thanks but no thanks. I also don't find him attractive. And I LOVE Diane Lane, so yeah. No. LOL

My question now is this: WHO in their right mind put that trailer together?!? Because there is NO BOND MUSIC in it and there's NO JAMES BOND in sight. Surely a dude who looks like he's been starved to almost death and like he has never seen the sun cannot be James Bond. I'm just shocked not just at how bad Craig looks but at the poor job they did with this. If this is supposed to be the "best of" the movie, and what gets people excited? Well we are guaranteed a stinker movie. And I mean generally speaking. Because it sure as hell doesn't look like a Bond movie.

Also (And sorry for double post) welcome to Daltonite Toothpaste and A Crag-like Face. Sorry for not having said this before, I'm just so under the weather that I haven't been checking in regularly (sigh) and I miss this place so much!! But yeah, welcome and glad to have you both. (and yes I did like Dalton as Bond, as you can infer from my "title" here )

I keep seeing both TV and movie executives AND creative talent make HORRIBLE decisions these days. And I KNOW I could do way better and yet I'll probably never have the chance. I don't mean to be presumptuous at all, but I've seen things happen especially on TV, that I called MONTHS in advance and they just don't even know where to BEGIN fixing it. Same for movies. So sometimes I REALLY do think I could do better. Come on! Granted there are still a few good ones, but they all just take the projects they WANT to take and they can only produce so much. Person of Interest is a prime example of a fantastic show that I know would be such from the start, that all those ridiculous TV critics/bloggers just snubbed from the start. Only to be shut up by an average of almost 15 mln viewers a week and a people's choice award that left them speechless. And I will never forget about the utterly horrid product that Lone Star was, and they sang its praises so much they said it would be the best show of the season. Cancelled after TWO episodes, one of the fastest cancellations EVER in TV history because the pilot didn't bomb... it was a cosmic disaster. I mean, really?? Are there no execs and critics other than the usual 3-4 suspects who know how the heck you're supposed to do TV and movies anymore? I'm just baffled by this.

I just got a phone call from Nielsen Ratings. They listed the movies that either just came out or will be released in theaters. For each movie, they questioned if I am definitely interested, probably interested, might or might not, probably not interested, or definitely not interested in seeing it in the theaters. When they mentioned Skyfall, I said definitely not interested.

I personally don't really have any issues with the trailer. It doesn't look particularly Bondian, has a very different feel to it, and I don't like the way Craig looks in it.
The trailer is obviously cashing in on Chris Nolan, which beggars belief why they didn't ask him to direct the d**n thing in the first place instead of Mendes.

However, the action scenes look pretty good, and as this is only a teaser, it doesn't give that much away. I'm guessing the full trailer will give us more of an idea of how the film will be. I'm liking the scenes in Shanghai, and seeing London as a backdrop to action scenes.

The interrogation scene looks intruiging too, reminding me of Fleming's TMWTGG opening. Not sure if the finished result will have anything to do with that novel though.
