Christopher Nolan
Given that the ‘Dark Knight Rises’ will be Christopher Nolan’s final Batman instalment as Director, I was contemplating the possibility of Nolan directing a Bond film. Nolan has not hid his admiration of the James Bond character and lists ‘’On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ as a personal favourite. He is currently involved with the reboot of Superman ‘Man of Steel’ so appears to like to put his own distinctive mark on popular franchises. Nolan is also known to utilise actors/actresses from his previous films so potentially Henry Cavill could well be a possibility as a future Bond.
The sticking point is not Nolan’s reluctance to be involved but his long term agreement with Warner Bros. I’d like to think that Nolan will direct a Bond film in the future.
Thoughts???

I'd imagine Nolan would want his own leading man for the role.FormerBondFan wrote:I hope EON doesn't use the Imperius Curse on Chris to direct a DC Bond film.

I hope he'd do atleast 3 consecutive Bond films with a new lead actor.bjmdds wrote:Nolan for Bond 24 without DC.

Re: Christopher Nolan
I don't think Chris Nolan would take up the Daniel Craig series as he loves the old Bond, the rules for Daniel's Bond prohibit too many of the fan favourites. Also Daniel has too much say in the direction, brining on a talented producer to restructure the series he would not want to have Daniel crying off to Barbara over every disagreement.
I would not have supported a choice like Christopher Nolan in the past, it is not Eon's style for one thing alas what they are doing is slowly petering out. They need fresh ideas and clear direction like Cubby had. If they have to hire it, then they should do so.

Re: Christopher Nolan
I suspect he'd want Christian Bale, since they are currently on their fourth film together. But maybe he'd be happy with Henry Cavill, I dunno.Skywalker wrote:I'd imagine Nolan would want his own leading man for the role.FormerBondFan wrote:I hope EON doesn't use the Imperius Curse on Chris to direct a DC Bond film.

I second that. Look at LTD, look at GE, right actor with a director who cares can make a great movie, the Emo vibe coming from the Skydive set is worrying.Capt. Sir Dominic Flandry wrote:A new Bond and someone who likes the old series would be welcome.

With all the cancelled locations, Sctoland,India. Mabey they'll film Skyfall all at pinewood. Like the old Man From UNCLE Movies.
Use some old stock footage to show Turkey, then switch to some of the old warehouses out the Back of Pinewood, with a couple of extras in the familiar Fez, as The green Vegie answered. "Does it look like we're cutting back ?"
we can now all say, "YES IT DOES "

Re: Christopher Nolan
The thing they always used to say is he money goes on the screen, up to DAD it did have a wow factor that seem to say all the money is right here, CR was not as well done as that some of the sets looked cheap but a few places were nice but nothing said hot d**n this is $100 million dollar being spent on pure action. Qos looked like a $30 million dollar movie. The fact they $230 million was spent on it is unbelievable. They say they have the same budget but my god all the new is about what they are cutting out. To be a good movie bond does not need a great story a good one will do. Done the right it makes a great Bond film. Over complicate it and you get a mess. CR started the lets over think how we do this film making and I think they are about to make the second most expensive art house film in the series.Thunderpussy wrote:With all the cancelled locations, Sctoland,India.
