Under, some reviewers have already slated this film & given it a low rating, saying it just doesn't work for either cregg or Weisz.
It was postponed because the first cut was so bad the studio didn't dare release it, Friday is the wrong time for horror movie but so was the first release date.
I do not think it will be a sleeper hit.

How much did Dream House cost? so we can judge how it does.

Boxofficemojo originally had it at $55 million, as I reported here a few weeks back. Now it says N/A? Q, that's your cue.

Then we can both agree to say: I Don't Know Why Pierce Was Brought Into This Movie.

And someone NEEDS to give this poor guy a great movie that will be a turning point of his career. The Matador and The Ghost Writer are great, but they don't enough recognition.

FBF here is a critics view of Pierce's career.
Life After Bond: Never really hard up for work before taking over as Bond, Brosnan's career hasn't slowed down much since the role was passed on to Craig. If anything, his choices have become more interesting and varied -- it's hard to imagine him accepting offbeat fare like the dark comedy The Matador and the mystical Western Seraphim Falls or agreeing to show off his (limited) vocal chords in Mamma Mia! back in his 007 days. On the other hand, he's also made such questionable choices as Brett Ratner's After the Sunset and Percy Jackson & The Olympians so his taste isn't perfect.
Current Status: Just starred opposite in Sarah Jessica Parker in I Don't Know How She Does It and appears in next year's All You Need Is Love from Oscar-winning director, Susanne Bier.

Daniel is 'excited' about Bond 23, he also let it slip they do not have cast yet. He said the cast is coming to together when asked about the two actors
(Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem ) some people thought were already singed he said he hopes they do appear in Bond 23.
So I suppose the cameras are not rolling next week then :?

Dream House gets no premier and no previews

Some said it must be very bad for everyone to abandon it and cost something around $70 million dollars.

Daniel Craig “Dream House” Gets No Premiere, No Previews

Do you know much about “Dream House”? It’s opening on Friday, sort of slid in among a selection of oddities from the very good “Take Shelter” to a bunch of weird releases like the long, long shelved Kenneth Lonergan movie, “Margaret.” (Can’t wait to see that, actually.) “Dream House” stars international sex symbol and James Bond actor Daniel Craig, his Oscar nominated wife Rachel Weisz, and the equally talented Naomi Watts. Yet, there has been no premiere anywhere for “Dream House.” There have been few if any screenings. Rotten Tomatoes still hasn’t posted any reviews and the movie opens tomorrow. Several movie blogs, notably Cinema Blend, have chronicled the film’s disastrous life. It’s a shame because Jim Sheridan, one of the greats, directed it. But Sheridan, it’s said, fell out with Morgan Creek’s Jim Robinson, and I’m he walked away–or was pushed away–from the final cut. But no premiere, not even a Cinema Society screening in the basement of a trendy hotel? “Dream House” must be very bad for everyone to have abandoned it. That may be $70 mil out of the window of that house. The only good thing to come of it, for Craig and Weisz but neither of their romantic partners, is that the actors reconnected and wound up getting married.
The only review I have found were real as they say 'brown nosers'

A rule of thumb is if they don't do screenings for press, it's (more than likely) a bad movie.Which, judging by the ads for Dream House, it is.

I say put brosnan in an air force 1 type film (have him play the bodyguard of the president who's was retired but taken in for one last mission, the president gets abducted and only one man knows the means and ways to get him back, can he do it before it's too late and the president spills the secrets about his warplans on said terrorist country?.

Speaking of reviews for dream house, 1 review on imdb

Wallmart DVD Blowout!!!
24 September 2011 | by Bollywood-Buttsquirts (Hindustani Residentual Area) – See all my reviews

When I got out of a theater with an excruciating headache thanks to the movie that finds its place in the IMDb bottom 100, 'Dream House', I realized with a sinking feeling that the man who made movies like Bloody Sunday had undoubtedly suffered a severe concussion.

But to come to this, Mr. Sheridan? Funding equally clueless film makers who have no doubt tottered up to your foot steps, jarring camera angles and irrelevant close ups et al.

Who scripted this thing? Not the 5 year old child actor of this movie for sure. He looked far too sensible for it. For it is nothing but A Tale of Two Sisters, Dunwich Horror and Ho-Cheung Pang's recent "DREAM HOME" sliced up and edited together. The tragedy is, this one might pass off as a parody of all of them I will tell you what is scary about this movie. The fact that film makers still think they can botch together a movie out of things that have stopped scaring people 25 years ago. During the entire course of this sham (I really can't dignify it by calling it a movie) I felt more emotionless than one of those frozen hibernating frogs. You see, I've been rendered so incredibly numb that I can't even elucidate just how vile a mockery of the craft of film making this is.

However, I am eternally grateful to the makers for keeping it shorter than 2 hours. Had I been one of them, I'd have taken my name off the credits.

Please think of this review is a merely a kind of warning.

Look for it at your Walmart Halloween DVD selection bin next time you go.

another one on imdb

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz have a great chemistry together, too bad they wasted their efforts on this movie., 4 July 2011
4/10
Author: grandbucket

Generic and predicable thriller made somewhat bearable by the undeniable chemistry and acting chops between Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz, even though both actors involved deserved better than what they were giving with the material. Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz work very well together on screen ( and supposedly in real life as well) but they should have waited for a better film to showcase their chemistry and acting chops then this film, which not only does not respect their efforts in trying to bring humanity and credibility to a badly written script but does not even try to at least capitalize on their efforts in bringing more to the movie. Instead, the movie goes into several different unnecessary directions that goes no where and drags this film down. Naomi Watts is good as well but i just did not think much about her character and found her an unnecessary, forced inclusion to the story that ruins the film by making it even more predictable than it already is. The film also feels like it was two separate movies before it became one. Its a ghost story then it moves into a mystery with out it making much sense, not to mention the fact of how predicable the whole structure is. Let's just say that you have in fact seen this story before.

Its alright for what it is but it could have been much more, especially with two great actors (Weisz and Craig) having great acting chemistry on screen.
