Dame Helen Mirren believes fictional James Bond character M - played by Dame Judi Dench - should have a spin-off movie.

Dame Helen Mirren would like to see a film all about James Bond character M.

The Oscar-winning actress thinks it would be "cool" to see Dame Judi Dench reprise her role as the British spy boss in a spin-off of the franchise with the leading female part.

She said: "That would be cool! Sort of - what's Dame Judi's character in Bond? M! - yes sort of a movie all about M would be great."

Helen - who also played an assassin in action movie 'Red', and won an Oscar for her performance as Britain's Queen Elizabeth II in 'The Queen' - has previously claimed female spy roles are "undervalued" and believes more films should star them.

She said: "I'm going to play a spy a little bit. It's kind of interesting.

"The role of women has always been undervalued in the spy world, always undermined in terms of recognition. It's a world that needs women."

Oh, I though she wanted to be in the M spin off. A M (Q, MoneyP )spin off is something they should never do.
Then they were going to make M a lesbian in the reboot but decided against it at the last moment.

EON has never cared much about bankability. All the previous Bonds have either been unknowns (Connery, Lazenby, Dalton) or people known from TV (Moore, Brosnan).
