How come this is the ONLY OFFICIAL statement by EON all year?katied wrote:bjmdds wrote:On 30th August, EON Productions officially denied any link between Bond 23 and Carte Blanche, stating that "The new film is not going to be called Carte Blanche and will have nothing to do with the Jeffery Deaver book."![]()
Yeah well, it wouldn't be my first choice for a title(for a Bond film).

The Indian minister is forcing changes to Bond 23. If anything the stunt sounds little stale, please no more Bourne camara angels to spice it up
"Rooftop travel is illegal in India and it cannot be encouraged," Indian Railways Minister Dinesh Trivedi told AFP on Saturday. Many Indians seek to avoid paying for tickets by travelling on the roof.
Daniel Craig, who plays the world's most famous secret agent, was supposed to jump from a motorcycle onto a moving train roof packed with travellers and then leap to another equally crowded train top, according to the script.
Trivedi said 007 could perform the stunt -- but only if there is nobody on the top of the trains.
"Rooftop travel will not be shown," he said, adding that the government has also stipulated the filming "has to be safe and passengers should not be inconvenienced."
The railways minister said that the original movie script could have led to an impression that rooftop travel was common in India.
"There are many trains in India and not all trains have people travelling on the rooftops," he argued.
"Those were the days when we still associated Bond with suave, old school actors such as Sean Connery and Roger Moore,"
"Daniel didn't have a hint of suave about him," - Patsy Palmer

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ ... s/?a=42996 Margarita Levieva, aka Lisa P from Adventureland, is DC's co-star in Bond 23? He looks 20 years older than her and she cannot act. He will have NO chemistry with her whatsoever. You will long for the days of Denise Richards/Brosnan. Bond 23 is shaping up to be a real Cowboys And Aliens for Eon! Utter insanity has befallen Eon.
Whatever Eon dubs her character, she will be referred to here by me as LISA P

The only official news this year is to deny it is on the newest Bond book.Something is very wrong with the chimps in charge.I still have a bad feeling about this movie I keep expecting we will here about the bottom falling out sometime soon.It is like 2003-04 where Brosnan was out there talking about the next Bond and Eon was quietly sitting on the sidelines.bjmdds wrote:On 30th August, EON Productions officially denied any link between Bond 23 and Carte Blanche, stating that "The new film is not going to be called Carte Blanche and will have nothing to do with the Jeffery Deaver book."![]()

Reading the latest overseas BO report at 'The Hollywood Reporter'............i see that C&A has so far only grossed some $50 mil internationally which is really dismal.
This film had quite a bit of TV marketing in the UK, but to no avail, so overall the film is a big financial loser for the studio.....it makes 'The Green Lantern' looK like a hit in comparison.
Meanwhile, here in the UK, the teen comedy 'The Inbetweeners' has been a big hit, grossing so far the equivalent of $57 mil.
I saw this film last night and it was brilliant and had the audience laughing out loud on many occasions.

One of the summer's biggest disappointments, Cowboys & Aliens, continued to drag along, adding $9 million from 46 markets for a total of $50 million. That included a decent $2.1 million first place start in Spain. Cowboys moves in to Brazil, Finland and Norway next weekend.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 earned an estimated $5.5 million, bringing its foreign total to a huge $937 million. That pushed its worldwide total past $1.3 billion, making it the third movie in history to reach that milestone.
Just the way FBF likes it

Where does this quote come from, BJ? I guess I must have imagined the film adaptations of Diamonds are Forever, Live and Let Die, The Man With the Golden Gun and Moonraker (The Spy Who Loved Me doesn't really count, since only the title was used).bjmdds wrote:Thus, the 21st Bond film, Casino Royale (2006), in addition to being the first film adaptation of a Fleming novel since 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service, was to be a reboot of the franchise, establishing a new timeline and narrative framework not meant to precede any previous film.

Or Johnny Depp. What's Will Smith doing these days anyway? His divorce seems to be getting more publicity than his movies at the moment.stockslivevan wrote: Unless you're Will Smith, nobody's name is a box office draw these days.

Will Smith hasn't made a movie in years I don't know why everybody makes a big deal over him.Depp is a harder working actor although with a 50% chance of a releasing average BO movies.

Many big stars are now moving away from big blockbusters and head towards less commercial films.
