Gold! This is what the title of Bond 23 needs. There has not been a decent gold title in ages.

I do miss the grandiose scale Roger films could have. The best the Americans could do at the time was Smokey and the Bandit.

Unless it's a name Fleming came up with I don't think anyone should bother. In the grand scheme of things sexually suggestive names are a rarity anyway. There's really only been Pussy Galore, Holly Goodhead, Octopussy and Xenia Onatopp.

Funny thing about the name Vesper Lynd was that it was really a pun on West Berlin given divided loyalties. But in 2006 that pun doesn't really work well, less people likely to pick up on that these days.

I do remember Halle Berry once meeting a fan and the person asked "what's your characters name", Berry replied "Jinx", and the fan retorted "I thought your name would be Cinnamon Buns". Thus the 2000s is the only decade (so far) to not have a sexually suggestive name. I did like the Stephanie Broadchest line, I remember everyone in theater erupting over that.

Perhaps. But EON should definitely avoid using the words "kill" and "die". I remember how disappointing the title DIE ANOTHER DAY was when it was announced, thinking it might have been more suitable for a Steven Segal film.

Kill and die have been overdone-not only with movie titles, but the titles of themes as well.

I am actually more concerned about the Millennium Trilogy since Daniel has gone to great lengths to praise GWTDT.

Seems the only one talking about Bond 23 is Daniel, not sure his is a good sign since somebody somewhere should know a bit more than the actor.
I have an aversion to Shakespeare and costume dramas. I don't want to be dressing up and pansying around. I love being twisted and challenged. I love the obsessiveness in movies. I've tried to be as picky as I possibly could, because I am a snob, and I don't like doing sh*t. I'd rather go hungry than play a rubbish role.
Even though I hate guns and am a pacifist, they have proved much of my success. One must never say no to anything.
I mustn't get complacent because if I start relaxing about all of this, then I'm going to turn into a dick.

James Bond 23 Art and VFX crew returning from earlier flicks

In more minor news, a couple of tips have come in from MI6 – the British Bond site – letting us know that Paul Inglis, Art Director and Steve Begg, Visual Effects, will be returning to James Bond 23 which commences shooting in November 2011.
Begg has previously worked on Casino Royale, where the VFX man was responsible famously for sinking Venetian houses.
Inglis had a hand in the 2008 adventure Quantum of Solace – designing interiors of the remote Perla De Las Dunas hotel. His current project is Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus”, which is shooting on the 007 Stage at Pinewood.

Pandemonium in NYC. Thirty minutes ago I was sitting by my computer and the roof of my house felt like someone was walking on it and the pole type tv stand in my room starting moving right to left for 5 seconds. The first ever earthquake hit here at a 5.8 level. It was felt from North Carolina to Toronto Canada and even Massachusetts. Buildings have been evacuated and bridges are being inspected. Pandemonium on the Northeast coast of the USA! I knew Eon hated me but this is ridiculous! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44245009/ns ... ?GT1=43001

D'oh! Of course. I was only thinking of major roles. Too bad a lot of scenes of her got cut, she wasn't a great actress but she had knockers.

Sounds like EON are trying to flush you out, using their underground anti-Dcinb quake bomb! :)

On a more serious note, it must of been quite worrying at the time!

There's a lot of them on the UE DVD. I'm pretty sure YouTube has em uploaded.

Here it is:

Video is very jittery but it has two minutes worth of footage with Plenty. There are probably more somewhere but it's hard to find deleted footage from films 40 years old even in a franchise like Bond. I don't think any of the other films before DAF have deleted scenes available on the DVDs.

I think that boat has sailed for him. He'll likely continue with Superman just like how Jackman continues with Wolverine.

I think genuinely believe Fassbender would make a good Bond based on his performances in X-Men and Inglourious Basterds. However I think he'd be better in a period piece than a modern setting. His Bond should belong in the Cold War.

Indian Trains are now all the rage.

I am amazed at how little is happening officially, unofficially even. It in a way feels unbelievable they will get it in gear in time. I as most here believe eon will cram out some sort of film by next October however....

Back to normal today. Two after shocks not felt. First time since 1944 a quake hit here.
