With talk of Michael Fassbender as a potential future Bond, Liam Trim oversees a battle between the X-Men: First Class star and 007 himself, Daniel Craig... Okay so I know technically Michael Fassbender isn’t a Bond but there was no way I was calling this anything else. If you’ve seen the new X-Men film you’ll know Fassbender essentially gives a super powered performance of our favourite suave secret agent. My review points out as much here. Critics up and down this green and pleasant land are saying they’d like to see Fassbender play Bond in future. Some are even calling for the head of Daniel Craig now, just two films after Craig successfully rebooted cinema’s longest running franchise to acclaim from commentators and audiences alike. But the problem is Casino Royale was almost six years ago. Since then we’ve had the action packed disappointment of Quantum of Solace, »
The fun of Fassbender is that he is not Bond as Bond I think he'd be a bore. No doubt he is (way) more charismatic than Craig also having fun with it.
CR was a long time ago by this time Pierce had 3 movies under his belt and was making the 4th already he had establishing himself firmly as Bond ( IMO he did that with GE) Craig has 2 where he is not really Bond but becoming Bond and wants a 3rd after making the rotten Qos  sure why not.
Completely agree re:Fassbender and I will add he is another one who does NOT look like Bond at all. He has RED hair (yes that is his hair color. I don't understand why we must have an actor who doesn't have the physical characteristics of Bond as Bond. That's just beyond me.) he's pale and really unattractive. I don't want another actor who doesn't look like Bond is supposed to in the slightest. And, it doesn't take much to be more charismatic than Craig  He'd be another miscast dude as Bond. Thankfully he isn't being considered.

'Ass'bender won't fly in the role, and you don't hire someone with his name as Bond!

Pierce and his works have underrated and under-appreciated LONG enough already. Even after Bond, none of his works got recognized from the Oscars, not even his independent films.

MUST report on the just aired dialogue on USA Network's show "Suits" (very fun show by the way)

Random hot girl helping Harvey (hot male lead of the show) "You can pay me right out here in public" (yea, that way )
Harvey: "But then I wouldn't feel like James Bond..."
Random hot girl "What does that make me?"
Harvey: "Pussy Galore?"

Ahahahah    I think the Suits writers are clearly bigger Bond fans than the people who actually run the franchise.

Of course I need to add that Harvey looks, behaves and moves a LOT more like James Bond than the current actor playing him. :P

If no one is aware, apparently CB.n has gone to hell. Most of the mods have left and the place is crawling with trolls and flaming. 2011 is just a bad year for the two big Bond fan sites.

Anyway, some members of CB.n have been joining the Bond And Beyond. Taking note of our site often recruiting former MI6/CB.n members who became disenchanted with the two sites, a member of ours suggested we use this as a banner for our site:

 Gave me a good laugh. And it's accurate, MI6/CB.n are like that CGI plane crashing and burning.

I had not heard about all of this. Clever banner  Good luck with all of this.

I never would of guessed all of this could happen is such a short time.

I read about Criag playing Red Dead Redemption to get in to CvA, too bad they didn't make a movie of that game. I was wondering why EON never made a movie of Everything or Nothing the only decent Bond game has been a rehash of very old material. Why not make a game of Live and Let Die staring Craig? _.//
Although there was a well done Youtube video of one of Moores movies edited to be like a Qos & CR trailer.

I had no idea! That banner is very funny

I think it's pretty interesting that exactly this year both of those sites crashed and burned... given the situation with Bond 23 and considering CBn was an EON shill site. Either there's no toleration on their part for dissent... that I have shockingly seen even there (though to be fair on CBN no matter what Craig did everyone was only allowed to say how great he is LOL, the dissenting people were treated like pariahs) or things are so bad they would just rather not have any working site and handle all communication through their official channels only. Whatever the case, it's pretty sad to see communities that have been there for a long time implode like this.

It's an interesting coincidence..both of the EON shill sites *both* go to sh!t -within a few months of each other.

And then there's the distinct lack of any sort of news about Bond 23..and they're supposed to start filming in 2 months? :^o):

That's just insane... I don't know what the hell they're doing but it sure is nothing good. Any self-respecting production would have had official casting news out for MONTHS now, considering they're filming in less than 2 months. Ridiculous.

Either they are keeping a tight lid on how well the development is going, or nothing is actually happening yet and the whole thing will be another messy rushed job. I hope its not the latter....

Call me cynical, but I really do think it is going to be a messy, rushed job (IOW, QOS 2.0 )

It's still on line and viable. If people left in mass, they must have been PAID to be on line and the money to shill for Eon against negative comment is gone. When it's off line, THEN I will say good riddance to a trash dungeon of ideas like that forum is. This is why I am here, amongst the sensible Bond fans, who realize that you don't mess with a proven successful formula. Who would have ever thought THIS site would not only STILL be viable in 2011, but also has expanded it's influence and has been PROVEN correct! By the way, both MI6 and CB.net LIED about their total members being around the same 12,000 each. NOT!

A major announcement will hopefully be made soon that Bond 23 is on hiatus again. The cost/risk ratio of casting DC again after a 4 year hiatus, and his RUBBISH box office returns ALL the time, will cast a shadow on his future as Bond. Eon is no longer in sole control. The era of DC as Bond MIGHT be over now! We won't have to endure that onion-faced,Valvoline haired, thuggishly mugged, neanderthalic, simple-minded, putridly horrific, waxenly barbaric, simian-like, cranially deprived, barren of gray matter's, Sasquatchian interpretation of Bond any longer! I hope so. Too much is NOT happening to lead me in my conclusions that DC is done. IF he is still kept, Bond 23 will make QOS look Oscar worthy. FBF, get the champagne ready, just in case! :NewYears:

No doubt MI6 fudged numbers when it came to how many members they had(and they occasionally would hold it up as a "Look at us!!!!!!!" thing. But it's a lie. I know if Nash were still here(but he's not) we would get some sort of defense of the way that MI6 lied to make themselves seem like "The Best Bond website on the internet"(a claim MI6 made on more than a few occasions.)

MI6 and CB.net are no better at spinning their defective Bond product than MSNBC,NBC,CBS,CNN, and ABC are at spinning their defective political hero. People see what the truth is and this absurd propping up of ineffective and incompetent entities just won't work. Can we get rid of both in 2012? YES---------WE--------CAN!

This.So much.Don't want to make this a political thread, but there are definitely some parallels between Craig's tenure and Bond and Obama's administration as president!
