Not too far from Republicans strategy right now.

Perry is supposed to be in. I don't know if we need another "Texan" he is better than Mitt I suppose, something about Mitt gives me the willies.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44110416/ns ... kRAhs1HBbw Perry is in! The liberals will try to paint Romney as weird and Perry as a closet homosexual who is a religious fanatic. Don't be swayed by these rumors and misrepresentations. He is not perfect by any means, but a HUGE improvement over that loser McCain and can beat the current occupant of the White House! The end of Cr-egg and Oh-bama is approaching........2 failed experiments.......both are losers............November 2012 awaits! Get out and vote!

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/201 ... ent-romney Oh-bama is here in NYC at another fundraiser while Congress takes a paid vacation as the economy crumbles. These lowlife tactics attacking Romney won't work. Oh-bama cannot run on his own record. He has the freeloaders on his side waiting for checks to be handed out. Unfortunately for us working people, these people vote too. It will now be either Perry or Romney with Marco Rubio or Michelle Bachman as the VP choice. The cast has been set. We will see how this all plays out. The losers at MSNBC must be put to rest already. :fight:

I think the biggest millstone around Perry's neck is going to be his secession talk. At least, if I was Obama, that's what I'd attack him on, assuming Obama bothers to campaign at all. On past form, he'll probably spend more time attacking his own party and supporters than his Republican opponent. After all, it worked so well for him in 2010. _.//

OK. Prediction time and finalized. I made a few calls to people I know in the political business, watched the cable news reports today around the Iowa caucuses tomorrow, and came up with my prediction for 2012. UNLESS a scandal is out there I do not know about, and assuming excellent health for this candidate, the 45th President Of The United States will EASILY defeat Oh-bama in November 2012, and that person is---------- http://blogs.houstonpress.com/hairballs ... 042511.jpg He is an excellent campaigner, can arouse a crowd, is a religious person, is in favor of capital punishment for murderers (excellent for an anti-terrorism resume), took NO stimulus money from Oh-bama, created 37% of ALL US jobs in the country the past 2 years, HATES HATES HATES George Bush and called him out as an out of control spender when he was Texas governor, SAYS he will be tough on illegal immigration(BUT he allowed tuition for illegals which will ingratiate himself with Hispanics more than the rest of the field), and is a colorful and good looking person to watch. David Axelrod ALREADY is attacking my boy Rick which PROVES OH-bama knows he is in trouble. MSNBC will try their best to belittle him but I don't think this guy will buckle at all. Rumours will be tried to discredit him and will fail. Sarah Palin has a huge following and she is great friends with Perry and she will bring in the conservative vote and receive either the VP OR Secretary of Energy position. Rubio from Florida should be the VP but we will see how that plays out. The die has been cast. Perry is NOT perfect, but in this election he MUST defeat the loser in the White House! Romney will NOT get the nomination now but IF he should prove me wrong and does get it, he too MUST win in November 2012. Watch for that loathsome Debbie Wasserrman Schultz http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/e ... ngress.jpg to spread her lies as the new Democratic party head. She should retire from Congress due to her serious health issues instead of doing this. "On CNN's Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer on Aug 12, 2011, Wasserman Schultz launched into a passionate tirade supporting everything Obama has ever done and compared President Obama to the Jewish prophet Moses, whom are both figures leading their people into the Promised Land." Is she kidding? No one is following him for he is headed over a cliff!

A lot of people think Perry is a strong contender, but I wonder if he could be this election cycle's Mike Huckabee - a candidate who appeals to religious conservatives, but struggles to find support outside that demographic.

The sentiment in the USA is SO anti-Oh-bama now that even in my liberally leaning New York state(mostly liberal NYC, not upstate), he has a 45% approval rating and a 49% disapproval rating! NY should not even be a factor in these elections any more because the jerks here just vote for ANY Democrat, be in Charlie Rangel, or Anthony Weiner. To have Oh-bama losing here is big news, but Perry I doubt could win NY. We will see. Liberals HATE Oh-bama. Bernie Sanders of Vermont is demanding someone run against Oh-bama in the Democratic primary, that is how bad it is for him. He has no convictions and has no idea what he is doing.

But one poll I saw had Obama with a higher approval rating than Perry in Perry's own state, Texas. Weird.

" Mr. Romney may have been referring to a late June survey by Public Policy Polling in which he bested Mr. Obama by eight percentage points, more than any of the other GOP candidates in the survey. Mr. Perry who still is not a declared candidate, narrowly lost to the president 45% to 47%. The margin of error was 3.5 percentage points.

Mr. Romney’s campaign declined to comment." http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/ ... 629513.pdf

http://biggovernment.com/publius/2011/0 ... chmann-13/ It did not take long for my candidate to take a huge lead! He declared Saturday and he will now slaughter the other candidates. MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS will try to uncover ANY dirt they can to destroy his candidacy but it won't work. Maddow, Matthews, Olbermanm, Stephanopoulos, Gregory, et al, will keep kissing Oh-bama's rear end while trying to tear Perry down. The war has begun and I am 100% behind Rick Perry. He does have a few issues, but overall, he is the perfect age, 61, and he will clean Oh-bama's clock politically. Anyone here in the USA planning on supporting Oh-bama? If so, explain why.

Obama is going around is his Tax and Spend tour. In a reelection campaign funded by the Tax Payers! the man has a billion dollars for his reelection why not let his campaign pay for it?

Oh well those buses are appropriate for a overreaching head of state, Darth Vader looking Bus O'Death. Well he did kill the economy so I guess he deserves it. :?

What you have to bear in mind is that 2012 will mark the first post-Citizens United Presidential election, with no restrictions on how much money corporations, billionaires and even foreign governments can spend on buying candidates, and no obligation to disclose where the money is coming from. With that in mind, I present to you your choice of candidates for the next US President:

Report: Chris Christie Exploring Presidential Run
Benjy Sarlin | August 17, 2011, 12:49PM

Perhaps Rick Perry isn't the only late entrant into the Republican field. According to one report, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is considering a last-second bid as well.

According to reporter Jonathan Alter on Twitter, "sources say NJ Gov. Chris Christie is conducting focus groups in preparation for a possible run for president in 2012."

Christie has long denied any interest in a 2012 run. Of course, so did Perry, but the New Jersey governor's denials have been Shermanesque to the point of absurdity.

"Listen, I threatened to commit suicide. I did, I said, 'What can I do short of suicide to convince people I'm not running?'" Christie said in February. "Apparently, I actually have to commit suicide to convince people I'm not running."

But Christie has developed a strong following among grassroots and establishment Republicans alike with his combative style and many conservative commentators have openly pined for him to run. While it's late in the campaign, a lot of top Republican donors have yet to take sides, meaning there's still room to find donors. Or for donors to find Christie: a group of major GOP fundraisers led by Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone met with the governor last month to beg him to change his mind, according to Politico's Mike Allen, only to be rebuffed when the governor gave a firm "no" based on family and state commitments.

Update: CNN quoted an anonymous source close to Christie saying that the governor's thinking doesn't seem to have changed. Still no official denial.

Vote for the Iowa Butter Cow
Yet another candidate waded into the presidential fray Friday: the Iowa State Fair butter cow.

The candidacy is the brainchild of Jack Mathews of Des Moines and Web designer Michael Reid of Grinnell. They started a website – buttercow2012.com – and they’re selling T-shirts.

BJ, if you can bear to visit a Democratic site, there is an article here by a Democrat who wants Obama to win, but thinks that he will lose to Perry. Short version: Perry will win because he talks about jobs while Obama doesn't.
