Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The only thing I can hope out of the origin aspect is if they actually get it right from the comic. Little things like Peter letting the crook go because he's being a self-absorbed punk while in the Raimi film he did it just to get back at the guy who got robbed. I think the former is more gutting for Peter, realizing if only he had given a d**n he wouldn't have lost his uncle. It fits far better into the theme of great responsibility and why he keeps doing what he does.

Cr-egg hired this kid to sing this song to his former lady Ms. Mitchell and the green vegetable, Ms. Brocolli. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTWbm4ZJ8C4

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Superman release (Man of Steel) has officially been pushed to June 2013, they think a summer release works better for the movie (the never gave a specific date for Dec. 2012 to begin with).

I know because I've seen extras call sheets and because there's official information out, that they start filming in West Chicago July 26-27 (so yeah, next week). UNREAL how early these people are, and they even started filming ahead of time (they were supposed to start filming in August), and how LATE in terms of production Bond 23 is instead.

So the Bat has no competition from the Man Of Steel in 2012. Ale, your thoughts on Ms. Moneypenny?

At least we still have The Hobbit and Twilight 4.2 for next year's holiday release.

Wait a minute FBF. YOU like Twilight too? There will be mass hysteria for that finale too!

As a Potter loyalist, I despise Twilight, but anything is preferable over Bond these days.bjmdds wrote:Wait a minute FBF. YOU like Twilight too? There will be mass hysteria for that finale too!

Will you see it many times to add to the totals to bypass Cr-egg's third egg in 2012?

By the way, while I'm posting and if any of you are up for it, there's a new show I love on USA Network, it's called Necessary Roughness. Seen as I don't exactly have your average "girly" taste when TV and movies are concerned, I think a lot of you guys would love the show. It's fun and it's smart and entertaining. Great casting and great writing I find, some of the lines are hilarious! (I'm advertising because a few friends of mine work on it, too. They deserve the praise!
).
Craig bulking up. Well he looked like a chav (non) Bond in the first and second movie, no reason why he wouldn't in the third one I guess.
BJ, I'll get back to you on the Moneypenny bit. LOL By the way, did we just hit 800 pages again?
I hate Twilight with a passion, but I'll be more than glad to see it take money away from Bond23 (which it will) seen as Babs only seems to learn the lesson the hard way.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
What if E.I.N. decides to push Bond back to the summer of 2013 opposite Cavill's Man Of Steel? Ale, does the script REALLY have Clark Kent running around West Africa trying to brings tribes together and using his powers to unite them and then returns to Smallville to determine his future endeavours as a hero by consulting with flashbacks of Jorel through crystals?

Twice is good enough, but if I were to go higher then 3. If there's any movie I will see multiple times like I did for HP finale now is The Hobbit.bjmdds wrote:Will you see it many times to add to the totals to bypass Cr-egg's third egg in 2012?

You guys are pretty passionate about Bond huh?
Even defending Twilight, just because its Bond's competition alone.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Not defending Twilight..the Twihards bring the batsh!t almost as much as Bond fans-but not by much.

If the Bond franchise can survive the Brosnan era, it's gonna survive Twilight.

The Brosnan era saved what was left of the Daltonian fiasco. I was in the theatres when Dalton's Bond was released. It was an empty sight to see OPENING weekends. Brosnan SAVED a franchise in deep trouble for 6 years.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Completely agree. And I didn't defend Twilight at all, I said it sucks but since Broccoli only learns the lesson the hard way (or maybe like BJ said, in no way at all, who knows), I'll be glad to see it take money away from Bond 23 (and it will take money away from Bond 23, it would with any other movie too, once that opens, the others will only get the breadcrumbs). Exactly because we are passionate about seeing an actual James Bond movie, instead of Daniel Craig's movies that have got nothing of what Bond is about, we say this.bjmdds wrote:The Brosnan era saved what was left of the Daltonian fiasco. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
By the way, the New York Times had the explanation for the Man of Steel change of date:
Makes perfect sense. The New York Times offers additional insight, noting that Warner Bros. had initially considered giving Man of Steel the Dec. 12, 2012, relate date that eventually went to The Hobbit. “The problem: those internal ruminations were accidentally made public back in January when it announced the casting of Henry Cavill as Superman. The upshot: Warner had some wiggle room because of The Hobbit — it doesn’t need two enormous movies in one month — and so the unofficial release plan for Man of Steel was changed and it now gets a prime spot in the lucrative summer season.”
