I get the sock value of what they were attempting to do what I do not get is why? Why do this with Bond? Was this approved by the Bond bosses? It would have to be wouldn't it. Insanity, that is what it is.

If ever there was a reason to stage a coup of EON and overthrown Queen Babs, this is it.

I find Bond dressing in drag quite disturbing. Thank god that craignotbond.com website has lost all its popularity becasue this would just be fuel for them.
After seeing that hideous video demeaning the very franchise that this website shills for, I might have to suggest renaming the website 'DANIELLE'CRAIGISNOTBOND.COM. You are correct Jaguar007 that the video representation is quite disturbing. It is amazing that anyone here would ever think that video has any redeeming qualities for Brocolli's franchise. You do not promote an iconic movie figure by having him portrayed in drag. It demeans the image of the franchise and it only proves how out of touch Barbara Broccoli has become since she developed her high school crush on 'Danielle' in 2005 which led to this video fiasco. In regards to the popularity of websites, this site boasts over 11,500 members, which is puzzling because with that type of volume, one would expect hundreds of posters on line each day, not tens. The math just does not add up to the vast supposed popularity you seem to shill here. Danielcraigisnotbond is by no means unpopular, as you suggest, in fact the 500+members are actual members who do post and with almost a quarter of a million views on our major topics thread, we stack up with any on the internet for viewing traffic. The bottom line is your forum and website attempt to do for Danielle what Msnbc does for Obama;no matter how both screw up and look bad, you always attempt a positive spin, of course in concert with the Broccoli directive. Danielle Cr-egg is yesterday's news and if the past 9 years ,with only 2 Bond films to show for itself, is Eon's statement of their abilities to produce an excellent Bond film , the franchise is in desperate condition. STOP promoting this waste of entertainment for now you are looking quite foolish by defending the indefenseable video that has surfaced. It's time for sanity to rule, and Danielle to be fired, Eon to be bought out, Hugh Jackman or Henry Cavill to be the 7th 007, and normalcy restored to the franchise. You are NOT the only game in town guys and if you continue to praise this disgraceful video Eon approved, you are belittling yourselves and this website.

I won't be surprised if Daniel Craig does not get taken seriously after this. Goofing on him doing a PSA in drag is a lot of fun.

Speaking of creggvestite, some good reactions on cbn forums.

This is utterly ridiculous and a misuse of the Bond-Trademark.

I respect the discussion about gender equality. But it quickly becomes absurd when they use fantasy figures like Bond to make a point. Bond's masculinity is not the only clash between his world and our society. After all, he kills people, too.

I think it should have ended with Craig, dressed in drag, looking at the camera and saying...
"this never happened to the other fellas"

For those of you chuffed to see Bond used in conjunction with this, I would say next time Ms Broccoli uses Bond in a campaign that you don't support you might be less pleased.

Keep the Bond image out of politics!

unfortunately that vid of cregg in drag got more likes then dislikes, wths wrong with some of the bond fanbase, I guess the title for bond 23 will be bondsilla queen of the desert, critics say it's a genderbender of a film, news of the world says: i liked tha part where craig dresses up as a women and hits someone with his manpurse and runs off, the sun says: quantum better watch out, this bonds a drag, barbera brocoloi says; zomg zomg zomg ...demieeallll he's like da coolest bond evar (barbera brocoli jumps up and down like a hyperactive school kid who's had too much sugar).

M16 forums seem to be a pretty big upoar about this http://www.mi6forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=53889 diehard craig fans aren't happy.

Shocking, positively shocking.

This is the evolution of the Bond character under the current administration's care, or rather, lack of care. Oh, so smug brave, of course, and it will receive many kudos from the usual corners. And for sure Craig and Dench did it for free. If anything signifies the emasculinization of Bond and that "it's over," this is it. And, yes, I will be thinking of Bond in drag, being browbeaten and humiliated again by a female M, when Bond 23 rolls around. This one goes down in the Bond history books. Thank you, Babs, Michael, Dan and Judy. You are all so gutsy.

Daniel Craig isn't Ian Fleming's James Bond in:

(Bond's masculinity is now the) Property Of A Lady.

EON, the owner of the Bond rights, authorized an ad featuring James Bond 007 being dressed as a woman. This is the biggest insult made to the Bond legacy.

Is this Bond as he might appear if Goldfinger's laser had been stopped just a few seconds later?

The reaction to this(especially at The Place That Can't Be Named) is interesting. How quick they turned on Daniel Craig. That's what amazes me. I would think nothing would make them turn on Daniel Craig.Well, except for a video of him in(really bad) drag.

More than that, they corrupted the series. DC's isn't the real target, but the b1tch is.

To say it's polarizing would be putting it mildly. Reaction seems much more positive at Commander Bond, and it's pretty much getting panned at MI6.I would think it would be the reverse. Makes you wonder how much the EON shills are being paid to like that crap. :?

I don't mind Craig and Dench making a commercial about womens rights I have a problem with James Bond and M being used to make essentially a political point. Roger Moore would not have done it.

Guess that's another idea they have, and you shouldn't be saying it out loud, next movie is going to be about exactly what you said. They're out of ideas completely and anything recycled will do... of course adjusted so that it does NOT feature the actual James Bond, so this is the perfect occasion. To keep on going with CR and QoS and not display Bond.

I am absolutely in favor of women's rights and equality (when it's not overdone, I don't much tolerate extremists one way or another) but I think a man dressed in drag, ESPECIALLY if it is James Bond is NOTHING that does anyone any favors. It's a stupid stunt, and on top of it, it's a stunt that uses a character that should NEVER be used this way, no matter what. James Bond is not supposed to be in drag to promote women's rights: he can do so by showing he will protect them AND favor their presence at the highest levels in his organization (after all M IS a woman now, and they can play around with that). He can show how independent and strong the Bond girls were and how many of them helped him save the world. He certainly doesn't need to be in drag to prove an equality point, that's NOT who James Bond is, the end. Not to mention... Craig CANNOT pull this off. Had it been another actor, maybe it would have been more humorous... this has no humor at all so it ends up just insulting the character of James Bond and frankly, doing absolutely nothing to help women. The ways I indicated above would have been far more coherent and organic ways of having Bond stand up for women's rights.

  about the fanboys sites. Well the two places that shan't be named are both EON shill sites, but CBn in particular. I'm not surprised that's the place where the reaction is more positive: CBn cuts out ANYONE who disagrees and they are the ones who first and foremost promote ANYTHING related to Craig's Bond. The fanboys are totally irrational and immature in the other site, so being way younger too, they are bound to have extreme reactions, positive or in this case (shocking) negative.

Bottomline anyway is this is PATHETIC. That is what it is. Pathetic from the marketing point of view, because it means Barbara Broccoli is a really narrow-minded, stupid woman when it comes to promoting women's rights too, and pathetic because trying to get publicity with something like this is BEYOND sad.
I don't mind Craig and Dench making a commercial about womens rights I have a problem with James Bond and M being used to make essentially a political point. Roger Moore would not have done it.
As I said, I don't mind it either if it is done properly. And properly means, no drag for starters. Sure as hell Sir Roger wouldn't have done it. AND, Cubby would never have asked him to in the first place.

I find it so funny how much flack The Craig lovers give Roger Moore for dressing as a clown for Octopussy ( which he didn't want to do but was persuaded ) Yet how Much respect they think Craig should get for IMHO insulting the character of Bond.

Did Barbra Broccoli get permission from Ian Fleming's family and the other people who own the rights to Bond before doing this? I think she did on her own without asking no doubt it damages Bond's image. I thought it was Daniel Craig and Judi Dench doing a stupid ad together I never imagined it would be "James Bond" and "M" making such a ridiculous ad. Never in my wildest dears would did I consider for a moment Eon would reduce James Bond and M to the equivalent of Sesame Street characters in a public service announcement telling children how to sneeze.

Bond is dead long live his ghost :007:
