Next Craig film....

Post by carl stromberg »

I can't be bothered to read up on speculation for the next Bond film! So, what's it going to be like? More of the same? A follow on from Casino Royale?

I think the script is done now but I'm sure that will be changed a lot before shooting begins. 'Casino Royale 2' is not a film that interests me.

Right now no one knows, but don't worry. I'm sure once news of the new script gets filtered to here, they'll be plenty more for you guys to start moaning about.

Just think, a whole new film to bitch about....

A belated welcome to the forum Terry.

Thanks for the welcome. This forum is a lot more civil than other places I could mention. Regarding the next film, more of the same sounds very dreary to me whereas a partial re-introduction of the staples and Craig playing a more polished, urbane Bond seems like it would be playing agaisnt the strengths of the leading man. I suspect the end result will be somewhere inbetween.

I hope he is more akin to the ending of CR where he appears more confident (Fine line between confidence and arrogance).

As an actor, he is capable of delivering a much more polished performance as Bond. Hopefully this will be case, otherwise Bond 22 will be ranked either 21 or 22 in my all time Bond list.

I'm looking forward to hearing any news on Bond 22. I'm sure the follow up will be akin to CR, and hopefully can equal the formers critical and box office success.
But it's a long way off yet, and too early to speculate on very much at all, other than our man Dan will be James Bond.
So we're off to a good start then.

DC is capable its the Broccolis -producers and directors I'm worried about leading DC to the darkside ;)
They royally screwed CR and go from there to direct sequel -CR2 electronic boogaloo- is going to ruin DC's chance at being Bond. He'll be a footnote - worse off than GL or TD
Mini terminator -Bourne -24 clone
Make them serious nudes!

As I've indicated before, judging by the outcome of CR, this negative opinion really is in the minority right now.

For many (the majority, dare I say) Bond has been saved by CR and Daniel Craig.

My word that pedestal is pretty d**n high.

What more can be said of Daniel 'He-Man/A-Team/Flash Gordon/Messiah/Saviour/Bauer/Bourne/Rambo/Terminator' Craig other than he is not Bond.

Daniel Craig is James Bond. Eon and the end credits of Casino Royale say he is.

The end credits of CR67 said Woody Allen was James Bond. Draw your own conclusions.

True, but I don 't recall any respectable film critic or fan claiming he was on a par (if not better) than Connery, nor do I recall Allen being nominated for CR, nor do I recall the 67 version getting the same BO figures as the new CR.

Draw your own conclusions....

Absolutely. He has raised the bar, the standard, the goalposts only previously set by Connery.

Will Bond 22 be as successful as the mighty CR? Who knows......

I keep forgetting your 'mature' humour level.

I was replying to Sweeney, as he always refers to Craig as being the saviour of Bond and the man who rescued a dying franchise.

I conclude that you talk entirely in EON press releases.
