I'll do it.

 Actually I'm fairly sure you'd do a far better job than anyone they pick at this point. It's sad really. I am dreading the moment they announce the script writers. I'm serious.

I actually would like Kris to write the script. He is damned good at it and if it has to be a team effort get Sweeney and go for it ;) We just have to get him on board with the recast.

I think the problem is the people like Haggis and Morgan who just left they are trying to make a Oscar contender film instead of a good Bond story.

I'm sure Kris and I couldn't do a worse job than what EON will eventually greenlight.

Got any ideas Kris and Sweenster?
Without getting into casting to much, because we all know where we stand, what storyline do you envisage for Bond 23?
Let's make the next Bond film a great one.

Another Daniel Craig Bond directed by Sam Mendes? I'd rather have hot custard poured down my trousers than watch that.

You absolutely would do a better job, that is certain. By the way... I... LOL never mind, all in due time 8)

I'm laughing because it's funny and because the above sentence couldn't get more British. Hot custard and trousers in the same sentence? Americans would almost need a translator. LOL. Good thing I'm Italian and I'm basically an adopted American given how much time I spend in the US. And I've been taught British English of course having gone to school and college in Europe. Not to mention I have had/still have plenty of British colleagues/friends. I get the best of both worlds

If Barbara does get Bond 23 in production before 2012, by production I mean the start of filming, it will be the fastest any Bond film has gone from zero to filming and I do think it will pay the price in story, direction, and acting. We were pretty much are assured all the pre-production work was scrapped earlier this year. I think the MGM announcement of 2012 was pie in the sky, time will tell if it is. However with all the Quality issues Eon has when they take their time I think this speed dating version of making a Bond movie will be disastrous. Quite possibly for the franchise's future.

Eh, I'll be amazed if a) it's any good and b) if it actually is out in 2012.

A lot can happen between now and whenever they actually get funded. There is pressure to keep costs down and recast is certainly gets free publicity and revitalizes the series. For all involved there is concern over what they are going to do going forward, Craig was an extremely limited casting choice and one who didn't pan out they way many were assured he would. He lost 10m people in the last film, his video sales suck, doesn't matter why or if the people abstaining consider themselves boycotters or not, they were not there and are not likely to return for his next outing, where they would likely lose more audience numbers if the pattern follows.

This is one of the few instances where they really need to think about how they package Bond to a generation/market, Craig's stick got old quick. More of the same, or a change where the try desperately to inject humor in to the cadaver Bond are damned risky. Doubly so with a preening nuance happy hack like Midas directing.
