One nephew had almost platinum blonde hair as a baby(that's the 12-year old) and his brother was blonde as a baby/toddler and has dark hair now. For some contrast in the family, my oldest nephew(not the same parents!) has red hair.Nobody else in our family has red hair.Genetics is strange!

I'll say that for sure! I've seen some traits they've picked up that were things my grandpa did. They never met him as he died long time ago it has got to be some kind to genetic trait passed down. Some day some researcher will figure this out as well and do a study on it.

My youngest nephew has a lot of the same traits that my dad does-it's uncanny! He also looks uncannily like my brother as a kid, whereas the 12-year-old looks like his mom.

THANK YOU! From your mouth to Bond God's ears

I really, really want Cavill, and in any case they absolutely need someone like him (young, handsome, masculine, stylish) to relaunch the series. I really always saw Craig as a one-off experiment that in any case wouldn't have lasted (especially since already at CR he looked too old for the part). The whole financial disaster may have actually favored Cavill to be able to get into the tux earlier. Please Bond God, PLLLLEEEASEEEE!!

I gush so much over babies I won't even start with those photos. That baby is ridiculously cute. Pretty much like my 6-month old niece who is sooo cute people stare at her  (proud aunt moment is over, thanks haha)
This charming young man will probably old enough to take the role by the time MGM get their act together.
If sooner then I'd hope the tux is passed onto Henry Cavill.
If he made it to the last three when Daniel Craig was cast, he must have something. And he'd be better than Sam Worthington.
Wait, that's your son? He is SOOO cute. Thank God he isn't my nephew, I'd spoil him rotten

And, I absolutely share your hope. Cavill said himself in interview (it's on youtube) that the Bond role "came very close" so clearly they ALMOST saw the light there (except then they picked Craig :cuss:). I can see why back then he may have been considered too young, but he shot the Tudors right afterwards and frankly, Charles Brandon in Season 1 of the Tudors is Bond at the age of Henry VIII, so I do think he would have been more than fine back then, too. He sure as hell is ready now. So if not for 23 (there's always hope), I hope they have the sensibility to cast him for the 24th movie of the franchise. And, I agree he's definitely better than Sam Worthington. To me, he's the best choice by far. It may be because I have watched literally everything Cavill's been in, so I really can see his very good acting skills AND the perfect Bond attitude... and because I sooo LURVE him  But really, all that matters is that this bunch of monkeys put their act together and understand that they need THAT type of actor and only that type (the Cavill type: young, handsome, stylish, masculine) to be able to carry the franchise into the 21st century.

Welcome Ale. Cavill is a pretty popular choice around here. He came top in an elimination game that I started featuring some of the actors who were considered for the role of Bond but didn't get it. And I don't just mean recently, but going back to the very beginning of the series, with people like David Niven and Cary Grant being included along with more contemporary choices.

Thank you!

And WOW, I'm impressed. To top an elimination game with even Cary (whom I love, regardless of Bond) and David Niven and aaall the people from the beginnings as well is quite something! I'm glad Cavill is a popular choice around here.. it certainly isn't on that place that shall not be named, although yesterday I purposedly posted on there praising him and saying he should be the next Bond, because I can't stand their "only Craig or Craig-like types" attitude... and because it's fun to annoy them every once in a while (or looong while, I hadn't posted on there in probably a year ).

Mr Cavill totally deserves the role IMO. And they better cast an equally deserving array of Bond girls for him  (me included, but I can do without appearing on film )

James... what a nice avatar! Although, ahem, I must protest because the two photos of Cavill the forum has in avatar choices are TERRIBLE. I thought I could upload my own avatar but that didn't appear in my options, so I didn't put up a Cavill photo because I refuse to display one that doesn't do him justice! I can gladly provide a couple of avatars (100x100) where he looks very Bondian if the admins feel like adding to the avatar gallery a couple of much more fitting images of him.

Cary Grant is my timeless tv boyfriend anyway (the non-timeless and present instead are Michael Vartan and Henry Cavill haha) so he can do as avatar meantime.

I know Cavill was a close runner up in 2005, I think I would have like him in CR. Worthington was the other another Runner up, I can't see Worthington as Bond, Cavill I've seen a few pictures of and I think he would be good as Bond. I don't know if I've seen any movies with him.

That's why I exist

Here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bD8BGFh_GP8

It's a scene from The Tudors (If you want to see him in anything, that's the easiest option.. you can find episodes online). Picture them at a casino with contemporary clothing and that scene is Bond vs Bond girl du jour  Especially that "pity, I had a winning hand" line and Cavill's attitude throughout the scene. Granted, he's not playing Bond here but I think it's close despite it being at the time of Henry VIII

He was in Woody Allen's movie last year but I don't think that gives much example of his Bond skills. The Tudors serves that purpose much better, despite them wearing costumes. The type of character he plays and the fact they have action as well as love and humor scenes can give you an idea.

Otherwise there's also Tristan & Isolde. Or, you can wait until next year when his first action movie is released. They should be wrapping filming soon, I think. They filmed in Spain (madrid and coast area) until mid November. Cavill is the leading man of the movie, which also stars Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver.

This is the synopsis:

"A Wall Street Trader’s life is turned upside down when his family are kidnapped on a holiday in Spain. Desperate to save his family, the cocky Wall Street type finds himself thrust into a government conspiracy and fights to uncover the secrets of his father his order to save those he loves."

Willis plays the father, while Sigourney Weaver is the evil one. I think this is the perfect token to then become Bond.

 so true!!!

I agree Sigourney Weaver as the villain is an interesting choice. I'm not a huge fan of Bruce Willis but he has heaps of fans and certainly having his name in a movie will help bringing attention to it. It should be interesting to see how he plays Cavill's father (and wonder how the hell a man like Willis would EVER produce a fine-looking son like Cavill  Seriously, mom would have to be the Grace Kelly or Audrey Hepburn of the moment for that to happen ). I think the movie sounds really good on paper. It's not a mega production or anything, so I think it'll do ok but nothing special. But, I think it can be good for Cavill since he's the lead and IF the movie is well-written (which I have zero idea about) he really could just prove his action-man worth in this one :D (not that he hasn't already, but all those who've never seen him would have a good example I think).

I wasn't a fan of Bruce Willis' either..until I saw Pulp Fiction. That changed my mind about him. It'll be interesting to see him and Cavill as father and son.

Oh I agree he's been really good in some of the stuff he's done (Willis I mean). I'm not a huge fan in general, but I do think he's had his great moments. Considering the father in this movie is somewhat of a devious character with lots of secrets it should indeed be very interesting to see him with Cavill. But.. really. NO WAY a man who looks like Willis produces a son like Henry.... unless they marry Grace Kelly

Nash, I REALLY love you for what you just did, despite our many differences

I mean...you almost gave me a heart attack, but fine  Holy Mother of All Hotness, help me survive this. Do you think they look alike? I really can't see the resemblance, but good if others can, makes the movie more believable  And, in the movie Cavill's hair is much longer, which doesn't help. But, again, if others see the resemblance, all the better

I'm happy to say I'm a Huge Bruce Willis Fan,so I'll be watching anything with him in it, As for H cavill it would be kinda funny if he got very successfull very Quickly and decided he didn't need Bond or Rather He didn't want to take the chance to save a (just my opinion ) Failing Franchise.

Awesome! So you'll be another one who goes to see "The Cold Light of Day". As far as the rest I PRAY that won't be the case. Although I honestly don't think this movie will be huge. I will be glad enough if it just does ok. It's not a mega production, so I don't expect it to do anything sensational at the box office. Though who knows... I hope it's a successful movie of course, since Henry is the lead. I just don't think it will be anything more than "ok". Will probably make a decent profit but nothing more than that. Though, again, hard to tell nowadays. Look at what happened with Twilight. They had a ridiculously low budget for the first movie, and that horrid guy as lead, yet it became a massive hit. So, never know. I just hope nothing stops Cavill from being Bond if the opportunity arises.

I have to admit I've even gone to watch some of the turkeys Old Bruce has been in Like "The Bombfire ......" Hudson Hawke and I seem to be the only person I know who liked RED, But I've seen basicly nothing with H Cavill so it will be a intresting for me to see him on the Big screen.
