^As bad as they are, I'd rather watch the SW prequels. *shrug*

At a push I suppose but I prefer the original series for both.FormerBondFan wrote:Still prefer the SW prequels over DC's Bond, Carl?

Re: Your choice for Bond in Bond 23
I'd rather watch the original Star Wars movies, but given the choice between the prequels and a bond-a- thon of the recent movies I would always watch the SW prequels.

Re: Your choice for Bond in Bond 23
George Lucas should have hired other people to direct as he did with the original trilogy. After the criticisms of The Phantom Menance I think he felt he had to redeem himself instead of handing over the next two. There are plenty of directors out there who could have done a better job than he did.

Re: Your choice for Bond in Bond 23
The original rumour was that one instalment of the prequel trilogy was going to be directed by Lucas, one by Steven Spielberg and one by Luc Besson. I don't know if that was ever the plan or just Internet chatter, but i think Besson could have done a better job than Lucas on AOTC and Spielberg on ROTS.Roger Devereau wrote:George Lucas should have hired other people to direct as he did with the original trilogy. Re: Your choice for Bond in Bond 23
Luc Besson has the Fifth Element and at the time it was released was considered Star Wars for the 1990s which shook Lucas out of his hibernation and Lucas showed us all not only was the fifth element not Star Wars for the 1990s it was in fact far better written and produced than any new Start Wars production could possibly be!Kristatos wrote:The original rumour was that one instalment of the prequel trilogy was going to be directed by Lucas, one by Steven Spielberg and one by Luc Besson. If Luc Besson had been involved Milla Jovovich out of necessity would have been cast as Senator Queen Padmé Amidala.
It is a shame Lucas so firmly believes he is a decent director, he isn't. Spielberg stepped in and tired to help Lucas with Episode III even going as far as bringing in skilled writers to help "polish" the script. Probably why Eppisode III was better than the previous two installment but even Spielberg couldn't compensate for Lucas directorial style, love of childish pratfalls, and use of planks of wood for actors.
Star Wars works best with Lucas producing and other people bringing his visions to life.

I think I would have prefered Milla as Padme!

Jeeze I wish they had done that. Lucas only direct teh first star war in the original trilogy and easily it was the weakest although why we needed the ewoks for revenge of the jedi is beyond me, i know the director didn't demand them. Mrs No thinks that once Lucas's wife left him his creativity went down teh drain, she strongly hints that it was his wife that was the genius working teh stories out and him the manchild making makebelieveKristatos wrote:The original rumour was that one instalment of the prequel trilogy was going to be directed by Lucas, one by Steven Spielberg and one by Luc Besson. Any other suggestions?
Daniel Craig.
I think he'd be perfect for Bond in Bond 23.

Crag awlasy has a weird look like that one there is he threatening to undress himself ? He seems to do smug but not cool in those type of photos
The other guys pull off causal cool photos but Craig has to pout or look under his eyelids at the camera

here is a classic pic I ran across. I need to put it the 007 ad section if I ever find it

Will we even need a new bond if we can digitally reuses Connery or Brosnan or Dalton?
I'd like to see Dalton's 3rd and Brosnan's 5th. Maybe even Lazenbys 2nd. I read something about Cubby saying Lazenby asked to come back from time to time

After hearing Dame Shirley's unofficial song for QOS, how about a duet between her and Marilyn Manson?

Re: Your choice for Bond in Bond 23
I like this poster where he is in the dark also

Most Daniel Craig posters for James Bond are photoshopped and not very good.
