Babs Broccoli is the queen(lol) of bad decisions when it comes to the Bond films. And when she can't screw the Bond films up,she turns her sights on equally crappy vanity projects.

Sweene, you equated a Bond guaranteed success opening due to Craig being the main feature.....WRONG.....Craig was the driver in the Bond franchise car...Jackman is both driver and car...Your all time favorite film Van Helsing, did $300 million worldwide and Wolverine did $363 million worldwide, both Jackman films, both non-Bond. Show me ONE instance OUTSIDE of Bond where Craig as the LEADING man did ANYTHING except crash and burn....just one.....do you know of one?.....Craig is more popular than Jackman in your mind?....on what planet?......you have now entered into the realm of Craig delusion.. Bond 23 might cure you of it.

I wasn't referring to anything outside of Bond. I was referring to Bond, and Bond alone. Sure, its a Bond franchise, sure it was his first film so curiousity played a factor.

BUT...I remember you saying CR would flop, despite it being a Bond film. Then, when that was proved wrong, we have to look at the opening weekends globally of QoS to see just what people thought of Craig as Bond. Again, record numbers.

So the argument goes like this.....Craig is more popular than Jackman when comparing his Bond films to Jackman's films....however, outside of Bond, Jackman's films are more popular.

I have no problem with that whatsoever. You two seriously need to grow up....

Grow up? Does that apply to those at MI6 as well Sweene? Since when is passion considered a vice? You have it all wrong. The ENTIRE MI6 site is in need of a scolding by you if you really feel that way. Contrary views still affect you and your side after all of this time. Craig is NOT more popular as Bond than Jackman is in Hollywood or on Broadway or on a tiny stage theatre company in Liverpool. Craig has NO following whatsoever. Even the MTV awards shunned him last time out for he was there after CR. Jackman as Bond might have done another $100 million worldwide if he did CR. Who knows?

There's a fanboy wish list of directors that they want to direct a Bond film, None of those directors want anything to do with the Bond films and I'm sure EON's reputation has something to do with it.

How long before they go crawling back to Lee Tamawhorey to offer him a job?

CommanderBond.net and MI6.co.uk have Craig fans. QOS's opening weekend did not bode well for the following weekends. When Bond 23 does less box office business than QOS it will be time to jettison the dead weight of Craig.

Apart from the obvious ones that everyone says, namely Danny Boyle and Christopher Nolan, I think Kenneth Branagh might be a good choice. He has a flamboyant visual style coupled with a love of good writing (his background is in Shakespeare, after all) that would serve any blockbuster franchise well. Whether he'd be interested is another matter.

If we must suffer Craig, Mike Hodges might be a good director for his Bond. His Get Carter is a tough-minded thriller that actually achieves the effect that QOS was striving for, unsuccessfully.

Branagh is a good suggestion..but like you say...would he want to do it.
