Really? I wasn't expecting you to like it given how unenthusiastic you seemed about it.

I know, but it's the darndest thing-it was WAY better than I thought it was going to be. And Brad Pitt was incredible! I've heard some people say they didn't like his accent(his character is from Tennessee) but I thought it was perfect.

One of the best movies I've seen this year-and it is a 2 and a half hour movie, but it goes by fast.

I want to see it, but I don't have a job at the moment, ergo no money.

LOL I LOVE that GIF

No,but honestly, there aren't that many great movies out right now. I have been reccomending District 9 to anyone who'll listen.

My sister-in-law saw Inglourious Basterds with my niece the day it came out,the next day with my brother, and was going to try and see it yesterday with her dad.

Both District 9 and Inglourious Basterds have been getting rave reviews.Like I said, my sister-n-law saw Basterds 3 times. She rarely if ever sees movies more than once(Well there *was* Lion King but that was because Elton John did the music for it.)

I've seen most of those and would concur with the ratings(I liked Star Trek a lot more than you did, though).

I still haven't seen Watchmen. A couple of friends whose opinions I trust (and who, like me, were fans of the original graphic novel) told me they hated it, which rather put me off wanting to see it. I fear another Judge Dredd, where a comic that I love gets trashed in its transition to the big screen.

I want to see 500 Days Of Summer and Moon. Moon is only playing at one movie theater is my area though. My parents really liked Julie and Julia.

I never read the Watchmen graphic novel so I can't say whether it tarnishes it or not. However as a film I found it to be unique and substantial. It blows a lot of other comic adapted films out of the water IMHO.

Old news, I know, but I have just got around to looking at Box Office Mojo to see the UK box office charts for last weekend. I was hoping that the Basterds would beat out the other much-hyped new release of the week here, I Love You, Beth Cooper, which looks to me like an appallingly sexist masturbatory fantasy for teenage nerds. I needn't have worried. Inglourious Basterds opened at number 1, while Beth Cooper had to settle for...(drum roll)...number 17! There is a God.

Volver (DVR'd from the telly). I've never been a huge Almodovar fan, but even I enjoyed this. I don't want to say too much, in case people haven't seen it, because it's one of those films where the less you know going in, the better.

I've seen several of Alomodovar's film and am a fan,but he is definitely an acquired taste( I love foreign movies and I love quirky-thinking of Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown here )
