QOS out of US cinemas

Post by Kristatos »

Box Office Mojo has the screen counts for this week up and QOS is nowhere to be seen (literally). Meanwhile, Twilight, released a mere week later, actually gains 39 screens.

I'm not sure how accurate that statistic is. It is playing at a cinema in my town.

Hmm, interesting. It's disappeared from the international chart too, despite only having just opened in Urugay (I know it's still playing in the UK too). Wonder why BOM has stopped tracking it?

It's still playing on in around 900 screens - Sony just doesn't report very often over Xmas and the new year, so they took longer to update. Same for the international market. However, www.the-numbers.com claims that it's still pulling in around $3m internationally with a total now of $380m, with Japan still to open (On 1/24/09). A final international total of $429 (same as CR) is certainly possible - it will top $400m for sure now...
One this is for sure - it is almost guaranteed to surpass the international totals of all of the Brosnan films, even adjusted for inflation. It's already passed TND and TWINE, and DAD is next. It seems there is only one place in the world where Brosnan is more popular, which is the US.
