Chief of Staff, 007's gone round the bend. Says someone's been trying to feed him a poisoned banana. Fellow's lost his nerve. Been in the hospital too long. Better call him home.

My dislike of LTK was noting to do with the Actor. There were ton of problems making LTK including the director. Cubby should have straightened things out before production finished, probably need to start in preproduction.Kristatos wrote:I think he said it should have had a different director, rather than a different lead actor. Was Peter Hunt still alive in '89? I'd like to have seen him do more than one Bond film, and I think LTK would have been a good one for him. But I still like it, despite its oft-criticised "Miami Vice production values".carl stromberg wrote:Who should have been Bond in Licence To Kill Mazers? Brosnan?

I'd rather do it myself. It's inevitable that OP will be eliminated. Thought I wouldn't give you the satisfaction.
Spy has alot more votes than I would expect. So what's next on the hit list I wonder?
Alot of the classics are there now, but who will be first to go?

Good question. All the movies left are Premier League Bond, and I find it tough to deduct points from any of them. I went with Dr No in the end because I think the Bond series hadn't quite hit its stride yet. But it's still a great movie, with memorable (dare I bring up that overused word "iconic"?) introductions for both Connery and Ursula Andress.Captain Nash wrote:![]()

I think stocks had the right intention. If you look at the time he posted, they're different days. Yet not a complete 24 hours.

It might be better if you can only subtract 1 and no add any.

We just got rid of LTK, the Brozza movie were under siege from the start. Maybe we should have a one day "bring 'em back or leave 'em dead"Youngdean007 wrote:I can't believe Goldeneye is gone that was actually my favorite Bond movie with Spy Who Loved me as my Number 2.

Mazers, I mistakenly said you wanted a new actor for Licence To Kill when you said you wanted a different director. That will teach me to skim read!
It's hard to vote against any of the films, but I decided to vote against Thunderball this time: I expect a visit from Mazers.......

OHMSS is an otherwise good film badly let down by Lazenby's wooden performance. Can we get QOS on there, just so I can have the pleasure of taking points from it?
