Well, looks like it's just you and me moving points to and from Octopussy for the rest of eternity. As I said before, I could take a point from another movie for a bit of variety, but I like all the other films on the list.

Yay Mazer! if we keep taking two points from OP for every one Nash puts back, eventually we can flush this turd.

I think Octopussy is great, but it's the weakest of the movies left.

We're not ganging up on the Craigfan. We're ganging up on the movie where Bond does a Tarzan yell and tells a snake to "hiss off".

Two of a couple of minor glitches in an otherwise brilliant Bond film.
"Double sixes. Fancy that."
The face off with Orlov.
The race to stop the bomb.
The wonderful action sequences. Especially the train stuff.
A great set of villains. Louis Jourdan was perfect for a Bond bad guy.
...

Though I agree it's getting harder to take points away from the remaining films. I do believe LALD, and LTK deserve to be rid of first. Even TSWLM (another one of my favourites) might take a second place to the Bond film that really does have it all. OP, it's an all time high. 8)

I'd take LALD over OP any day, but I concede that may be due to having seen it at a more impressionable age. Along with YOLT, it's a film that I can recognise on an intellectual level as being a weaker entry in the series, but which my fondness for is too deeply ingrained to be erased by that realisation.

Yes, OP had it's good bits (even the much derided sequence where Bond disguises himself as a clown could have worked, but I think it would have been better in a more serious Bond film - in a Carry On Rogering entry like OP, it kinda rubs salt into the wound), but so do all Bond films. I submit that if the whole of DAD had been as good as its first act (Madonna song notwithstanding), it would have entered the pantheon of all time great Bond films.
